About this project
Settling the Score
Did the landmark case of Alien v. Predator really decide anything? Nobody even stopped to ask, “What if Predator had laser eyes?” ...but you will. If you’ve ever stayed up into wee hours debating the finer points of Freddy vs. Jason, or Kirk vs. Picard: this game is for you!
Clusterfight is a party game of hypothetical battles for 3-12 players.
Each round, one player will be the Judge. Starting to their left, each player will play one Fighter Card from their hand. You might wind up with a fight that looks like this:
At this point, players (except the judge) vote on who they think will win...
At first glance, you might think the jolly green man is a shoe-in. But wait! This thing isn’t over yet! Now, all players play a Battle Card from their hand. Battle Cards could be items for the fighter to use, status effects that change their state of being, or battlefield effects that change the whole face of the fight. You can play a Battle Card on any fighter you want, even one you didn’t play or bet on. In our game, the round might look like this:
Can 5-Inch Hulk reach the gas pedal? Will Gandhi’s rage send him careening into a guard rail, or just give him an incredibly dangerous case of road rage? Or can an unimpeded Chuck Norris out-drive and out-roundhouse-kick his foes?
Players are encouraged to argue their cases (come on, even at 5 inches, you wouldn’t like him when he’s angry!), but in the end, the Judge will proclaim the victor! Now settle your bets as the Judgeship passes to the next player; The battle is only beginning!
Game Salute Guaranteed is our promise that Clusterfight will be produced with quality components and that you will enjoy the time you spend with the game. Shipping is expensive. We've calculated the cost to ship this game to backers around the world and we're subsidizing that to help keep your costs down. The cost to ship this game to backers in the USA is $7.03 to $7.66. Game Salute is covering an equivalent amount of the shipping cost for ALL backers around the world. That means that the pledge level for US backers includes shipping. For international backers, we're passing along the same savings on shipping. Simply check the chart below, find your destination group, then follow the line to see you total pledge amount.
To keep the shipping costs as low as possible, we ship packages via a variety of shipping services depending on your specific location. We use USPS, FedEx, UPS, and DHL. You will be responsible for any import fees, brokerage or delivery surcharges, or applicable taxes that may be levied after we have shipped your package.
Let us know when you pledge at a retailer level and we'll list your store here to encourage local backers to choose in-store delivery through Game Salute Local Support, earning you the full margin on those games, too, just as if you had sold them yourself.
We are pleased to offer access to our game designers and creative team for podcast, blog, newspaper, or television interviews. Team members can also be present for conventions and event appearances with a timely invitation and appropriate travel and lodging expense allowances. Please contact Jon@GameSalute.com to discuss any of these media support opportunities.
If you have any questions while our campaign is running or following the conclusion of the campaign, feel free to post on the main comments thread or email Kickstarter@GameSalute.com. Risks and challenges
As we enter the crowdfunding phase, Clusterfight is nearly "Print Ready". The rule book and some game art will need to be completed, and certain stretch goals will require additional art if we fund at those levels, so we have set an extended delivery date to be on the safe side. Every game project is subject to potential production delays, but we believe we've allowed enough wiggle-room for Clusterfight.
The final challenge is getting the game and rewards out to the backers. Game Salute is well versed in Kickstarter reward fulfillment and we are prepared to meet this challenge for Clusterfight.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
