Whether you’re running a one night, one shot adventure, or just starting your 10th year of what was meant to be a “quick” campaign, we believe that running your games and prepping for the session should be simpler than it tends to be. We believe that as the game master, you should have just as much fun, if not more than the players sitting around your table. We believe that the details are what make your worlds immersive and that there is always a better and easier way to GM on the fly and prepare for upcoming sessions.
Next in our lineup of RPG Decks is the Towns and Dungeons Decks. This is a two deck set that is designed to give you town and dungeon layouts on the fly.
The Towns Deck gives you 52 unique town layouts that your travellers may come across. They are generic layouts without labels. This allows you to easily assign what building is what and minimize confusion for your players. The towns are different sizes and the deck format allows you to quickly randomize what town layout the players are entering. Alternatively, if you are looking for something specific, you can quickly flip through the deck and find something that fits your story line.
The Dungeons Deck also gives you 52 unique dungeon layouts for those times you didn’t get enough prep done or your players decide to go left instead of stay on the story ark. This deck follows the same principle as the Towns deck and allows you to quickly find a dungeon layout that will suit your needs or simply give the deck a shuffle and randomly select the players doom… umm, I mean dungeon. Again, the Dungeon Deck is left label free so as to not pigeon hole you into where traps, monsters and bosses may be lurking. This is designed to provide you with unique maps and stir your creative juices.
If you are wanting additional decks, you may add $16 to your pledge per deck or you can add them after the fact in the Pledge Manager. This time around we will be using a Pledge Manager after the fact because we have some pretty cool (we think) stretch goals lined up.
For those of you who may have missed our last project or would like additional decks, you may add them to your pledge for $12 per Plot Deck. This deck includes 52 unique challenges with 3 suggested variations on each card.
We are pleased to now offer the Towns and Dungeons deck in digital format. Some of you have been asking about this as an option so you can print and write on the maps, so here it is. These "digital" decks will be in PNG format and optimized to print on a standard 8.5"x11" piece of paper so you can have plenty of room for your labeling. Each digital deck is $8.00 and will include the 52 maps. Digital Decks will also be available for stretch goals as they are unlocked.
As you can see we only have the one pledge level for decks. However, pledging at both options will grant you access to the Pledge Manager at the end of the Kickstarter.
Shipping is not included and will be calculated in the pledge manager.
At the $5,500 mark, we will render the towns in full color, highlighting the fields, rivers, shores and buildings.
At $7,000 we will add depth and character to the dungeons.
At $9,000 we will release a new deck as a purchase add-on!
$11,000 unlocks 52 more Dungeons in a new purchase add-on
$13,000 unlocks 52 more Towns in a new purchase add-on deck!
And more to come!
Risks and challenges
Potential fluctuating shipping and production costs are the biggest challenges that we face. Also, unforeseen delays with the shipping could be a risk/challenge. For instance, if the shipment is done in multiple boxes, if one box misses the plane, we may have to wait to receive the complete order.
Other potential risks may develop as we unlock stretch goals in terms of getting the artwork and colorization and additional decks done. We feel that we have accounted for these types of potential delays by extending the time to delivery on this project.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
