Who are GamersTable?
GamersTable is a podcast geared toward tabletop gaming.
Our discussions draw from decades of game play, primarily dungeons and dragons, but also other roleplaying games such as Shadowrun, Starfinder, Conan, Call of Cthulhu and Savage Worlds. We are also avid consumers of other gamer media such as video games, movies, etc… which we love to incorporate into our game talk.
Resting Glitch Face?
Resting Glitch Face is a Shadowrun actual play podcast featuring an all lady team set in St. Louis who have been fittingly called the “Gilmore Girls of Shadowrun”
What's a Trench Monkey?
Trench Monkey is an old term for a soldier. In this case, Trench Monkeys is an RPG podcast featuring a group of military veterans talking games from a vet perspective.
Why a Kickstarter?
We have a dedicated studio for all our productions and upkeep is expensive. We insisted on recording in a studio over other options because sound quality is one of our top priorities. We hold ourselves to such a high standard that we’ve scrapped previous episodes that didn’t meet our expectations.
Going back to recording in sweaty garages and echoing conference rooms just isn’t an option anymore.
As we stated in our previous campaigns, a studio with sound engineering in our area costs between $100-$200/hour. $100/hour falls within our budgetary range.
Being an independent show means that without help from our listeners, family and friends, we wouldn’t have been able to make high-sound quality episodes.
When funded, we will record episodes for an all new seasons of GamersTable and Resting Glitch Face.
How many episodes we record for this season is up to you.
At the base funding level, 6 GamersTable episodes and a full season (minimum 20 episodes) of Resting Glitch Face will be produced. More episodes and exclusive content are possible through stretch goals.
Last year’s campaign allowed us to move into our own space, and we recorded 12 episodes of GamersTable on our terms. The move also made it possible for us to start Resting Glitch Face. This year we are wanting to bring back Trench Monkeys and Big 20.
Wait, Big 20?
Oh yeah, Big 20 is a live streamed GM talk show that we did for a time and will bring back if we hit the stretch goals. This time, we are going to have hosts from other podcasts help us, hopefully making Big 20 a show that helps novice as well as seasoned gamemasters.
As always we are totally blown away by the support, and love the friendships that we've made over the years. That said, we remain realistic about our expectations with this campaign.
Here are our goals:
Risks and challenges
There is always the risk that the season will be cut short due to illness or unforeseen tragedy, but barring that we will complete the season with the total number of episodes you determine.
Episodes may not have every cast member. Scheduling conflicts happen, but each episode will have 3 cast members minimum.
