      I don't know if others are in the same place but I still don't seem to have a game despite providing additional information for shipping some time ago. If it isn't possible to get a game is it possible to get a refund? Thank you.

    7. Thunder Valley Studios LLC on November 4, 2014

      Just wanted to post here that David has refunded the full amount. I also want to say that the reason I requested a refund in the first place was never about David or the game, but just about some comments that were made about another company in the industry that I found unprofessional. Wishing you the best of luck on your next game, David. Thank you.

      Wasn't able to get to processing refunds last night (Sunday), will do it tonight!

    9. Game Company No. 3 Creator on October 28, 2014

      Hey folks, I've got enough to cover the refunds in the Game Company 3 account and will be sending them out this week.

      The list of backers I have for refunds is:
      Tao Roung Wong ($170)
      Ben Crane ($45)
      Van Fujishige ($45)
      Weina Teo ($77)
      P Kellach Waddle ($10)
      Loren Overby ($45)
      Paul Incao ($45)
      Jacob White ($45)

      I'll post an Update once I get all the numbers worked out so everyone has the info, but for now, if you're following the comments and your name isn't on that list but should be, or I have incorrect info, please let me know.

      I'll contact those backers individually to figure out the best way to send payment.

      Thanks for your patience.

      ... I would gladly take a copy of the game, just to sell it for close to nothing so that I can get this mistake of a KS out of my queue. Should we be contacting Game Salute for those, since there seem to be copies popping out in stores now?

      No, Weina. You aren't the only one. Van, Loren, Tao, and I are also all in the same boat. Last we heard the refunds would be going out "after GenCon at the latest," which was now a month ago. We also have a thread on BGG discussing this: http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1167283/kickstarter-refunds

    16. Weina on September 18, 2014

      Can I get my refund OR copy of the game yet? I see they're STILL selling it at Game Salute. And you promoted at PAX, according to your FB page.

      Still waiting on my refund as well. I wouldn't have asked for a refund if there had been better, and more respectful, communication from David Fooden. Delays happen. If we had been notified of the delays, before the multiple stated deadlines had passed, then I would have no problem waiting for the game. Now the latest deadline is "after GenCon". Unlike David Fooden, I didn't have the money to attend all of GenCon, money that could have been used to refund his loyal backers. I bought this game the first time in 2008. What's the old saying? Fool me once....

      Has anyone who ordered it received their print-and-play copy yet? I've been wanting to play this with my friends and I'm wondering when that's going to happen. 36. Game Company No. 3 Creator on January 1, 2014

      @Kletian On page 2, under Preparing For Play, and on the Quickstart Guide, instruction 9 is "Deal 5 Action Cards to each player."

      The amount of VP a Territory gives its controlling player depends on which Great Power they control—which may not be the maximum value listed on the card.

      For example, if France claims ownership of Hong Kong, they would get 1 VP. However, Hong Kong is worth 3 VP if Japan or the UK were to claim it, while Germany, Italy or the SU would get zero.

      If France then played Protectorate on Hong Kong, they would get the maximum value listed on it, in this case, 3 VP.

      I'll start up a rules FAQ both here and on BGG. Some friends have graciously offered to help me create some play videos (there were a couple of previous attempts that got tied up in videographer flakiness and technical issues).

      Got my copy, but I feel like the rules document is missing a page or something. They never say to start with a hand of action cards. A few cards reference mechanics of territories being worth "maximum value"; I see that territories appear to have values based on their owner, but what does that mean? Do you have any youtube videos or something of experienced players so my friends and I can get a hang of it easier?

      Chris Adams has some good ideas for the US/China expansion, and I'm raring to go on the "Oh My Elder God! There's An Axe In My Head: The inevitable Cthulu Expansion".

      But we'll see how the game sells, if it makes sense to come out with an expansion (ie. we get to make a few more print runs), we'll make 'em! (maybe print & plays on BGG 'til then?)

    42. Game Company No. 3 Creator on December 23, 2013

      Glad to hear it, thanks!!!

      Game Salute has it available for pre-order here: http://shop.gamesalute.com/products/oh-my-god-theres-an-axe-in-my-head
      The "street-date" for retailers is 1/17, to allow time for stock to go through distribution.

      Signed copies get tricky. I've only got a couple dozen personal copies at hand, mostly to send to reviewers and use for replacement parts, so it's not feasible to offer signed copies. BUT...I attend most of the larger conventions in the US, and about half of the cons in the pacific northwest and would be more than happy to sign copies there. Additionally, if you email me (gamecompany3@gmail) I'll give you my address and if you send me a self-addressed, stamped envelope with the rulebook, blank card, or other component, I'd be happy to sign that and send it back. I don't recommend sending the box itself, it get's expensive.

    43. David K Uspal on December 23, 2013

      @Matt Kaminsky

      I don't know, I actually like the speedier game/rules a bit better -- lets you get more games in, plus if you take the early beating from the maniac Bodyguard, you're not spending too long going through the motions while the rest of the players duke it out for the remainder of the evening.

      To each their own though (plus, the attention span and ruthlessness of your group may play into this).

      @Game Company No. 3

      Once you get the last shipments out, take a long, nice breather. Then, start thinking about the expansion -- an plans for the America/China add-on?

    44. David K Uspal on December 23, 2013

      Got the game on Friday, played it that evening with my gaming group. It was a huge hit.

      As a matter of fact, it was so big a hit, at least two of them want to get copies for themselves. Will OMGTAAIMH be available for retail soon? And if so, where would you recommend to pick it up? Lastly, one of the people interested in picking up a copy would like to get a signed copy if possible. Would that be a possibility?

      I am happy to say I got my game. It was waiting for me when I got home from a business trip to Chicago. I opened it up and almost drooled as I ripped off the clear plastic wrap. The cards are nice, colorful and super easy to shuffle. The punchboards were easy to punch. All the delegates fit perfectly in their stands.In my opinion the playing board is too thin and is slightly curved, but it doesn't detract from gameplay at all. I'm more happy to have the game than complain as the board works. I'm even happier that the cards are very similar in size. I can just sleeve them so we can play the original rules. Yes I said ORIGINAL rules which in my opinion are better and cause even more mayhem. We played it tonight and it was still fun and Tony (aka Japan) actually played the Brits, and still managed to cause a ruckus on the smaller board. So, when you guys are ready to send out the PnP version, please include the original board and original rules. Please? Please? PLEASE?

    47. Game Company No. 3 Creator on December 21, 2013

      @Scott Henshaw:

      Sorry to hear your copy is missing those! I'll mail you a board with the missing great powers.

      The game is playable for 4 players as-is, but there's a chance you'll run short of axes.
