Frequently Asked Questions
If this campaign ends succesfully, we’ll produce all games nessecary for all the backers and about 300 extra games to cover for potential damages. Any leftover copies will be sold afterwards, mainly at conventions.
Our co-publishers have been offered to buy some extra deluxe copies as well, with a maximum of 250 copies per partner.
It’s also possible that retailers will purchase Fuji Koro Deluxe during this campaign and sell it in their shop.
And after this campaign, we’ll organise a late pledge possibility on our website, for people who missed the Kickstarter, during about 1 month.
So there is a small chance that you'll find the deluxe game later somewhere else, but surely not at the current Kickstarter price!Last updated:
Based on past experiences, we decided to make a clear distinction between our Kickstarter Deluxe games and our games that are meaned to be sold in retail. When people pledge on Kickstarter, they can be sure that they’ll receive a topnotch game with the highest possible components quality, still for a fair price. In retail we reach people that don’t really care about deluxe components, but prefer a cheaper game, with a reasonable components quality and more or less the same gameplay content as the deluxe version. By not offering the retail version on Kickstarter, we keep the logistics of this project as simple as possible, with a lower risks for human mistakes.Last updated:
The retail version will be launched at Essen 2019. But this is simply impossible for the deluxe version, because of the complex molds for the miniatures. Everyone will have to decide for themselves what they prefer, the retail version in October or the deluxe in December.
Why not delay the retail version than? A small publisher like Game Brewer needs both Kickstarter and distribution to retailers to survive. It's as simple as that. For classic distribution, it would be a disaster to miss the Essen buzz. And Kickstarter is a great marketing tool to help create that buzz.Last updated:
No, unlike our previous campaigns, we’re not going to use a pledge manager. It will be possible to do a late pledge on our website https://www.gamebrewer.com/ for a few weeks, though.
After the campaign, everyone will receive an email with a survey. In this survey, one of the questions will be to choose a language for the rulebook.Last updated:
