Tiny Dungeon returns in a newly revised and revamped edition!
The TinyD6 ruleset returns to fantasy in this revised ruleset, now with micro-settings and more!
Using the rules in this book, you'll be able to play heroic adventurers, daring treasure hunters, imperious magic-users, and more! Explore numerous worlds and discover legends, adventure and fantastical beasts.
Character creation is simple, fast, and exciting. You pick your character type based on the exciting stories your Game Master is going to tell, you pick a few Traits that each grant a single benefit, and you're done!
Sometimes as the GM, you don't have time to plot lengthy, detailed worlds, but you want that experience. Well, we've got your back, and that support comes in the form of micro-settings! Micro-settings are short settings filled with adventure hooks, and designed to put your adventures and campaigns into high action-adventure.
Our goal is to fund a softcover edition, a limited number of hardcover collector’s editions, and the Tiny Dungeon 2e dice. We’ve planned several stretch goals which will increase page count, add more art, add more special rules but all of our goals will provide you with more fun and engaging fantasy content!
Tiny Dungeon uses a simple, fast, and dynamic ruleset to handle actions. The game uses up to three six-sided dice as part of action resolution.
If you roll a "5" or "6" on a die, your check succeeds. Most checks are made with two dice. However, if you are deemed to have "advantage" on a roll, you gain a third die to roll. If you have disadvantage, you lose a dice (rolling only a single die).
Characters are made quickly and easily. You will select a fantasy race (such as dwarf, salimar, goblin, human or more), three traits, and write down some basic information and you are ready to play!
Micro-settings are unique, small "example settings" specifically designed to be used as a tool, resource, or spring-board for your own campaigns.
All of the micro-settings come with some story and some fluff that is designed to be unique to that particular micro-setting.
The core book comes with some very different micro-settings, written by professional authors, industry veterans, and fans of the genre.
Below are the micro-settings that are included in Tiny Dungeon! Many of them were unlocked by stretch goals, and we've compiled them below!

The handcrafted dice-bags on the deluxe level look like the picture below. As a hand made item, there is always variation in the fabric, coloring or pattern, but never the quality! These dicebags (and the accompanying hardcovers) are Kickstarter exclusives and are never sold retail after the Kickstarter is over.
The Polymer Clay miniatures are how Alan and his home tabletop group played Tiny Dungeon 2e during playtesting. As a fun one-time offering, we're going to make some custom ones for backers to their requests. These are roughly 28mm (roughly, because it's a pretty inexact science).
Alan is not a professional sculptor, so buyer beware. Here's what some of the ones from Alan's group look like:
After the Kickstarter, Alan will contact you to tell you how detailed your requests can be (you can assume race, "class", and maybe some requests around weapons will be the options), and he'll get to work!
These are not available as an add-on.
Tiny Frontiers and Tiny Frontiers: Mecha and Monsters are available on DriveThruRPG! We don't want to clutter up our fulfillment with extra books at this stage, so we've discounted the PDFs by 50% during this campaign, so you can get them easily!
We will be doing new print runs of both games in the near future (or you can get the print on demand editions)!
Gallant Knight Games is a indie game company ran by Alan Bahr! This is Alan's 7th Kickstarter (5th as Gallant Knight Games).
Our micro-settings are written by some of the most talented freelancers in the RPG business!
Tiny Dungeon: Second Edition has been in development since late 2016 and been in play-testing for 6 months! The art is all in, and paid for. The goal of this Kickstarter is to pay for the print run and unlock our micro-settings!
We have stretch goals featuring great micro-settings from top-tier talent, both established and up-and-coming!
All the micro-settings listed above have been unlocked via stretch goal!
We've also unlocked stretch goals to add more art to the game, the first full TinyD6 campaign setting and a random dungeon generation app!

WHY NO VIDEO?
Well, Gallant Knight Games recently separated from our partner Nocturnal Media. Due to this separation, all our spare resources and time went into prepping this Kickstarter and making sure it was ready. Unfortunately, that means no video!
Have no fear, we plan to do tons of live streams and Q&As throughout!
Risks and challenges
Q: Can Gallant Knight Games handle this project?
This is Gallant Knight Games fifth Kickstarter, and we learned a lot from the first four. We've been early or on time every time. We have two projects that's are not out to backers yet, but both are on track and this project will not impact that one. This is a simpler project with some nuances, but we're prepared to handle them, and we're shooting for the same exceptional success we've already had!
Q: What if the text or art isn't finished?
A: The draft text of all the rules is 100% done. All the art that isn't tied to stretch goals is in and done. The only text we're waiting on is the "micro-settings", and as we depend on the backers to determine what needs to be written, those will come throughout and after the Kickstarter.
Q: What if the complexity of the project overwhelms GKG?
A: We have straight forward pledge levels to make it easy to manage, and we've budgeted our stretch goals up to our cap. In order to keep the project manageable for our small team, we've elected to minimize our stretch goals to text increases, and we've set a finite limit of page count.
Q: What about delays in art?
A: We've already began to contract out the art, and some of the art is already here. Isn't it great? We're really happy with our artists. If there's a delay on the art, we have back-up artists we've already done test runs and are ready to work with.
Q: Increase in shipping costs?
A: Shipping costs constantly rise, and while we've projected them to the best of our abilities, there's not a lot we can do if they change. However, due to the limitations on the size of our product, we're confident this won't be an issue.
Q: What if something happens to the principals?
A: If something were to happen to Alan, or another writer on the project, we've identified our backups, and our team is spread all over the world. It'd take a really big asteroid, zombie apocalypse or alien invasion to wipe us all out. The files and plans have been communicated to the whole team, and a new project lead (who has been identified) will step up.
