Beach Patrol is a minimalist tabletop role-playing game about life guards and the drama they face on the beach!
It's about surf, sun and safety, as you take on the role of a heroic member of Beach Patrol, the noble heroes who serve the sunbathers, swimmers and surfers, while protecting the beach from threats like sharks, criminals, pickpockets and more!
Beach Patrol knows what it is. It's a light weight, fun, roleplaying game designed to be played easily, and with maximum laughs and fun.
It even includes an adventure generator for Beach Patrol and it's spin-off, Beach Patrol: Nights.
TinyD6 is a minimalist roleplaying game that serves as the flagship line of Gallant Knight Games.
TinyD6 uses a simple, fast, and dynamic ruleset to handle actions. The game uses up to three six-sided dice as part of action resolution.
If you roll a "5" or "6" on a die, your check succeeds. Most checks are made with two dice. However, if you are deemed to have "advantage" on a roll, you gain a third die to roll. If you have disadvantage, you lose a dice (rolling only a single die).
Characters are made quickly and easily. You will select a Lifeguard Experience Level (Veteran, Experienced, Trainee), three traits, and write down some basic information and you are ready to play!
It's really that fast.
The game is written, the art is done, the layout is all that's left, and it's go time. The game will be finished very quickly (we're aiming for by the time Kickstarter gives us the money), and the PDF will be uploaded to DriveThruRPG, and proof copies ordered!
This game is ready to go. We just need your help to get the word out about it, and help make sure everyone gets paid!
This is a fast campaign to help recoup some of the expenses incurred in making the game. As soon as it's done, and the funds are delivered to Gallant Knight Games you'll get your PDF and your codes for print-on-demand.
Similar to the reason above, we have no stretch goals. We've put all the content we want to into this game, and we're ready to put it in your hands! Anything extra goes to helping Gallant Knight Games fund the next game!
The goal is to make this as streamlined as possible for the Gallant Knight Games team, so we're putting fulfillment duties into the capable hands of DriveThruRPG.
Immediately after Kickstarter delivers the funds, backers will receive an at-cost code to print their books on DriveThruRPG.
They can order the codes they pledge for and get them shipped directly to them. Please keep in mind: backers will still need to pay for shipping costs and the at-cost price of the book.
Printing costs are estimated at around (or under) $6 USD for the softcover, and around (or under) $10-12 USD for the hardcover (premium color hardcovers cost more, so keep that in mind.)
We've hosted our products on DriveThruRPG for over a year now, and have only ever received excellent service and support. We're confident they can help us deliver a beautiful book to all our backers on time.
This is something we wanted to do and get in front of backers, but we also have lots on our plate with more projects coming (including a full game on Kickstarter later this month), so we're doing this as easily as we can.

Q: Can Gallant Knight Games handle this project?
This is Gallant Knight Games' eleventh Kickstarter, and we learned a lot from the first ten. We've been early or on time every time, but once. We have two projects that are not out to backers yet, but one is fulfilling right now and the other is awaiting the final revision of the ruleset it uses so it's fully updated. This is a straightforward project with no nuances.
Q: What if the text or art isn't finished?
A: The game is done. We just need to generate the funds to cover the cost of the game (art, editing, layout), and then we're putting it into backers hands!
Q: What if the complexity of the project overwhelms GKG?
A: We deliberately built this project to avoid being complex.
Q: What about delays in art?
A: All the art is in!
Q: Increase in shipping costs?
A: DriveThruRPG operates all over the world, and we're confident they'll get our backers the best shipping cost!
Q: What if something happens to the principals?
A: All that will have to happen is loading the game into DriveThruRPG, and we've got a back up plan for that!
