Risks and challenges
Having backed Kickstarter projects previously, we understand the frustration and that long delays that we as backers may face.
This is our first project and rather than launching a Kickstarter Campaign without prototypes or a product at a conceptual level, we decided to spent nearly a year to perfect our wireless VR headset with a completely new user interface. After nearly 8 months of hard work, we finally have 25 fully functioning prototype units for reporters to test & to demo at exhibitions. In-particular we were invited as one of dozen startups at the recent Hong Kong 20th Anniversary Handover Science Fair this past July. Attending these fairs and exhibitions allowed us to fine-tune the product & user experience through gathered advice and feedback, we believe that we have something that is truly unique.
Oqtagon’s Razergon VR headsets are ready and we have begun applications for CE, FCC and several other certifications. While there may be issues transitioning from prototypes to production, our team is confident that most risks have been addressed and mitigated.
To ensure that the product is delivered on time, we have inspected the factory and audited its certifications. The factory works to an impressive ISO 9000 standard and is fully on-board with our vision of creating a high quality premium product. They take great pride in manufacturing products for leading gaming accessories and as such we know that they will prove to be great assets in delivering quality products on time.
Current Razergon VR headsets are currently pre-loaded with Nibiru software which is compatible with our OqtaMotion controllers. By backing us on Kickstarter, we aim to provide users with an option to upgrade to our Oqtagon OS which fully integrates our controller provides better performances, OqtaMotion API as well as potential OTA updates in the future.
Capital raised will also allow us to purchase the required tooling, the ability to scale up and develop our Oqtagon OS even further, all which starts immediately after the campaign ends. We have worked through the timelines and factored in known contingencies, we are very committed to meeting the scheduled January-end or early February 2018 shipment dates.
