Funding Canceled

Funding for this project was canceled by the project creator on June 8, 2012.

Chameleon is an Android Tablet Home Screen that changes to fit your lifestyle. Always relevant. Immediately valuable.

Out with the old. In with the new!

Hi everyone!

Today we are working on closing the current Chameleon project. While Kickstarter and Amazon payments have been very helpful and supportive, based on our discussions with them, the best solution is to start a new project. By closing the current project, there is no question about our intentions with your current pledges. You are also free to cancel your own pledge.

We are working to get the new Chameleon Kickstarter project up for next week, so stay tuned.

Even with this project being closed, we will still be able to share the link to the new Kickstarter project. Don't forget, your existing pledges will not be charged. Expect an update next week.

In the meantime, we have included a development update for everyone. With some surprises. So enjoy!

- Gabor

    1. Creator Josh on June 14, 2012

I pledged before and didn't even have a tablet. Just picked up a tablet yesterday so will possibly be upping my pledge when it re-opens. Waiting to hear from you Gabor!

    2. Creator Michael Perry on June 13, 2012

I'm must agree with these other gents, the level of communication is phenomenal! I'm stoked to give this interface a run through when it's prepared for initial public release, and will up my pledge as well, as I want those wallpapers!

    3. Creator Jack Olexy on June 11, 2012

Great communication and what looks like an equally great product. I pledged before and i will pledge again. A lot of companies - both small and large could learn a few things about how you communicate. Nice job!

    4. Creator James Alexander on June 10, 2012

i agree with the above comments by Daniel Greiger ... you did the right thing in cancelling ... and i sincerely believe that you will be repaid ... this is an awesome interface and i will be in fact upping my initial pledge as a result ... and i hope that all who pledged in the first instance, pledge again ...

    5. Creator Daniel Geiger on June 9, 2012

I really love it, that you are so transparent with your users/fans/backers and inform us about nearly everything. I will pledge as soon as the new project starts!

    6. Creator Glen Koskela on June 9, 2012

You did the right thing now, it stops all debate and proofs you focus on customers (backers) first. Unfortunate that you had to close the project to fix that. I got a confirmation from Kickstarter to what has happened, what was the problem and how gets resolved.
I am more than willing to pledge the new project once you have it setup!

    7. Creator Real on June 8, 2012

What you guys are doing is awesome! I'm sure, assuming by the connotations of your name, Chameleon will be all about customization. With that, I hope that our hopes and opinions really resonate with you. I would love to see Chameleon become the success that it truly is and deserves to be. I hope you guys all the support you need. Take the beautiful platform that is Android, and go above and beyond and make it many times more than what it already is. Hopes and congrats to your immediate and expanding success!

    8. Creator Ivan Lagace on June 8, 2012

This project will be refunded I'm sure because, put simply it deserves to be funded!

    9. Creator Russell Freesland on June 8, 2012

Can wait for Chameleon to official blow all others out of the water. Just thinking about it makes meeting giddy.

    10. Creator Ramonito Tongol on June 8, 2012

thanks for the update, im sure lot people are looking forward to the NEW one... it would be nice if we could hear from you as soon as the new funding is up

    11. Creator T. Scott on June 8, 2012

Ok, I just watched the video. Damn. I need this! btw, don't let the plants go out like that, leave them their dignity.

    12. Creator T. Scott on June 8, 2012

Mr. Vida, just let us know when and where. I'm still proudly backing this project. My tablet needs this interface.

    13. Creator Dustin on June 8, 2012

Any chance you could put a donation link up on your site? Perhaps a "pledge" type of progress bar? I'd rather skip Kickstarter and just donate directly.

    14. Creator Gabor Vida - Teknision on June 8, 2012

@Johnathan Camien We will be starting a whole new campaign next week and all current pledges will be dropped. You will be able to re-pledge on the new campaign once it is available and we are planing on having the same rewards.

    15. Creator Johnathan Camien on June 8, 2012

So being that the current project is being closed does that negate the donation, will we need to decimated to the new project to get the stuff in the bracket we donated in?

    16. Creator Gabor Vida - Teknision on June 8, 2012

Please note everyone - Kickstarter is helping us cancel the project but its taking a little longer than anticipated. It is in their hands now, in the meantime if you want to cancel your own pledge feel free to do so.

      All the best,

    17. Creator Vitor Venâncio on June 8, 2012

I've noticed that the widget placing in that Transformer is a bit laggy. Are you planning to smoothen up that and other gestures when the final version is released?

    18. Creator Geri Lynn Peak on June 8, 2012

I hope you will go back to all the Android blogs and encourage them to post to get backers excited again. I'm sure you will be successful, a second time!

    19. Creator Matthew Martin on June 8, 2012

Thank you guys for your constant herd work! Keep it up, and thanks for powering through the tough spots! I'm extremely excited to see this running on my Kindle Fire with Cyanogenmod 9!

    20. Creator Bryan Spellman on June 8, 2012

Thank you for the inside look! I will be following you and backing you again! One question: will you still be looking at an August release for Kickstarter Backers?

    21. Creator Kristopher on June 8, 2012

Looks great, can't wait until the first release hits!

    22. Creator Ranveer Basra on June 8, 2012
