Yeah I loved the promise, but I think it needed more power than devices at the time offered.

Now that high performance multicore devices are common I think it could be great.

    2. Bob Cowell on October 7, 2013

Seems like this has been pretty well abandoned. It's a shame, since it seemed to have so much promise.

    3. Kevin Kwok on October 4, 2013

I wonder if theyre still making apps for this

    4. Jon Burke on April 15, 2013

Just checking in to say I installed Chameleon for Android on my HTC Butterfly (DNA in the US), and it looks great and runs smooth as butter. I wouldn't mind a landscape orientation and some more configuration options, but I was impressed nonetheless.

      Cheers

I am posting this here because I have sent a message and have yet to receive a response. I pledged $25 and my name still doesn't show in the Shoutouts. I did make a mistake on the reward level ended up with the $10 level but still paid $25. I think my name should still be included but I have yet to find it. Can Gabor or someone please respond to me? I have tried 3 times to contact you. Thank you.

I need to know the answer to Robert's question. Was planning to gift the Launcher to a friend with Android devices.

I'm sorry if this has been covered already, but as a beta tester, do I still need to download the release version for $10?

    17. Michel on September 20, 2012

Now that it is running on tablets, may we have a change to get it for our phones?

How about becoming a real launcher, i.e. supporting standard WIDGETs and app icons? And not just some "special widgets"

Just downloaded my copy on my tablet. Works within reasonable expectations.
Need more useful widgets such as currency converter and Hotmail. Hope others develop these soon.

question is still... is it out? I didn't get an email with a link or anything.
I also don't see an update here either. last update is 2.5 weeks ago, on Aug 22.
which states "Full release is slated for Sept 14th,"
bad to blow by a release date without some kind of word.
maybe due for a new update.

    23. Kevin Kwok on September 14, 2012

I'm sad how this turned out I thought they were just widgets not an entire launcher, owell.

    24. Vincent on September 8, 2012

I can't seem to get the facebook app to work. Does anyone have any tips?
After I put in my facebook information it takes me to a page that talks about the kickstarter and does not back me out to where the widget would be located.

    26. Knut Olav Gleditsch on August 23, 2012

Love the new update with new widgets :) Starting to look really amazing.. :) Looking forward to the Youtube widget :)

    27. Nicklas Raab on August 23, 2012

      Looks reeeaaaally good!

Instead of "just" the YouTube widget, why not doing something with either XBMC or PLEX? Or best case scenario - BOTH! =)

    28. Knut Olav Gleditsch on August 21, 2012

Small tips for you guys.. :) Go into file explorer and select a photo. Then select "open with Chameleon", then you get get the message " photo has been added as wallpaper" or something like that. Now you can select it from the wallpaper screen.. :)

    29. Brian on August 20, 2012

I really want to try this out on my SG3, or my MK802, or my Equiso Smart Tv. All those devices show as "not compatible". Can I have access to the APK so I can try them on my own without support?

    30. Knut Olav Gleditsch on August 20, 2012

Smoother after last update, and some new nice wallpapers... Looking forward to new widgets, hoping for a Xbox Live widget of some sort ;)

    31. Stephen Parris on August 17, 2012

And I got some wonderful support and I'm in the beta. Thank you so much!

    32. Stephen Parris on August 17, 2012

      Day seven....

I'm deep in the bush they haven't spotted me. If you find this email please forward it to my wife. "Dear Laura, I've emailed chameleon multiple times. Seven times intact. Yet they haven't heeded my calls for help. I donated my service both times to them, funny how they cared then. Now I sit here outside of the beta, dying, praying, missing your face." If I die here make sure she gets it. And make sure that support at Chameleon knows my android email address and that I would do whatever it takes to get some support.

    33. Gabe Nisker on August 16, 2012

I do not have an Android device yet but may soon, so I will not join the beta yet.

    34. Stephen Parris on August 16, 2012

I'm trying to be patient but I've send 6 emails asking for me to be manually registered. The site you setup does not work for me, perhaps because I log in via facebook. What should I do now?

If I am not connected to internet, chameleon launcher does not open. I get message that "No internet connection, so can't open". Is this normal. I thought launcher works even if I am offline.

FWIW, So far the app does EVERYTHING wrong in regards to account security... Where is the OAuth. Why do you need my password to authenticate my beta account? Why do you need my password to pair my Twitter account. This is unacceptable. You will have a better security posture in final, right?!

Just downloaded it and so far everything is running smooth on my Nexus 7. Only problems are of course lack of widgets and home button doesn't work.

    46. Knut Olav Gleditsch on August 9, 2012

I can add gmail, twitter, instagram and rss feeds...the only thing that annoys me is that the widgets turns blank very often. So I have to refresh them, re-add or resize to get them back..

    47. kevin niven on August 9, 2012

Would have been great to get the full program to test. One page of widgets is hard to test. I hope you will be pushing out the full beta soon. In its current form its hardly useful. Thx

    48. Mohammad Faisal on August 9, 2012

Only the twitter widget is working rest nothing is working, got a ASUS TF101,
