Want to see a dragon?

We have another interactive Thorvalla update for you today. Our artists have been able to extend the scene we showed you a few days ago, adding not only additional landscape and flora, but also giving you a look at the first of the animated 3D creatures in the game. Naturally, it had to be a dragon.

So, once again, we have prepared the scene for you using the Unity3D web player. It requires a small plug-in that you will have to download and install, but once you have that, a fully animated and interactive demo awaits you. Installing the plug-in in your browser is safe and easy.

Because Kickstarter doesn’t have the ability for us to include the web player directly, here is a link to the official Thorvalla website where the demo is currently hosted.

As you can see from the demo, 3D objects integrate very nicely with the pre-rendered background — the house and trees — appearing seamless as a unified image, without any degradation of quality. That is the level of quality and detail you can expect from the final game!

In the demo you will notice that, once again, the light changes from day to night and you can use your mouse to scroll around the area. In addition, using your mouse wheel will give you the opportunity to zoom in and out of the scene.

Click here to take a look at the animated demo.

      uwoowh!
This looks great. Really amazing quality and amount of detail.
Adding a human character, one or two animations, a music theme, and a couple of sound fx... and have it show it in a new pitch where gameplay is also explained better (basically a tl,dr of the updates)... and this KS will have 50x-100x more appeal to the non-believers.
This game _has_ to be made!

This looks like a game we want to play.
The next important thing should be showing how the combat will work.
It´s amazing how far you got after 10 days. At the end of this campaign there should be enough material to start a Kickstarter-campaign and gather some money ;-)

looks great! in fact, if this was in the initial pitch, the game would probably have 10x the money.
