U-Lock Update

Hello Noke U-Lock Backers,

Firstly, thank you to everyone for helping us get all the shipping addresses updated over the past few weeks. Seeing that it has been a while since our last update, we thought we would quickly inform you as to where we are in the process.

As you can see from the included images, we have completed assembly and production and the U-Locks are now getting packaged and ready for shipment. Due to the Chinese Golden Week holiday, which is celebrated October 1-7, shipment has been setback a bit. We should have the U-Locks and be able to begin shipping to customers soon.

We know that you have all waited a very long time for your U-Lock and thank you for holding out a few more weeks.

      I am now on my third phone since ordering this, and even this phone's screen is now cracked. So soon to be more fourth phone since I thought being able to open my bike lock with the phone was a great idea. Soon, please?

      Second that, David. Glad I bailed out in time. Years and years with little to no comms, and finally they reduce it to one flavor--that is, if the lock actually exists. Would have been relatively easy to put one or several ready locks on these massive stacks of (empty?) boxes to make things more credible. Get out people, and do yourselves a favor.

      Great photo of lots of boxes. Based on prior experience, there’s nothing in these boxes. Still recommend you get a refund from this company. Why would you put this lock on your $1000 bike? Because you trust this company?

      Well, it's great to see them piled up ready to go but the Chinese holiday ended nine days ago and still no update as to when these stacks will be shipped out? I feel like I shouldn't be too bothered by a few more weeks when I've already waited over one hundred weeks for the product but seeing big piles of them there and nothing in my hands makes me sad.

      When can we expect these to be shipped and what's the ETA to major cities?

      Noke is an amazing security device as the time it took to produce means that the depreciation on your bike means it's not worth stealing. Glad I cancelled a while back.

      Question, do you try to antagonize backers on purpose?

      After being silent for two months you decide to send an update with the news production is complete but oops, sorry, shipping will be delayed a week due yet another Chinese holiday.

      Why not just wait a week and provide good news without the gotcha? Idiotic.

      After so many delays I will not be celebrating until my lock is stateside and in hands of UPS or Fedex but it does seem closer.

      Of course by then it will be pretty much winter here in the midwest but heck, maybe i can use it to safeguard my snowblower. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

      Larry's point is valid, not ignorant. FŪZ has been working in China long enough to establish their timeline around local holidays. If anything I'm upset that they aren't considering these things more. I'm excited for the product, and haven't really minded waiting, but to repeatedly blame local traditions and holidays rather than planning around it is a bit cheap.

      Still glad to get the u-Lock soon.

      Seems to me we have heard these comments before. How many special Chinese holidays are there. Seems as though we receive an update every time there is a Chinese holiday. When do we get our rewards?

      Hey, so, uh...I commented here a while ago and said that I wanted to cancel my order. I have emailed your office about canceling the order. In both cases, I have not received a response.

      What the hell?

      I do not trust that this lock is going to work as advertised because it took you so damned long to create this thing. That, and the fact that you crawled into a cave and went dark on everyone for so long.

      So again: I would like to cancel my order and demand a refund.

      Why is this so difficult?
