Fuse sneakers are the answer to one simple question:
What are our shoes & Clothing made of?
A simple google search opened the doors to a dark reality of social and environmental harm, one that we are no strangers to given that we have experienced life amongst cotton fields and a rich artisan community.
Fuse sneakers, is our answer to that. A future hope that leaves behind a good footprint that’s made of art and design, style and self expression and freedom and Joy.
A unique shoe thats celebrating the earth and fusing an old craft while building communities and bringing people together.

HOW THE MAGIC HAPPENS:
Our Collection: Choose from the designs and colors below. You will get a survey at the end of the campaign to provide your choice of color, style and size.
Six years ago, exactly around this time, April 24th 2013, a garment factory collapse in Bangladesh lead us to dig deeper into how our clothes are made. As someone who is passionate about women's development and artisan communities, we decided to travel to Pakistan and cultivate a dying craft to provide economic opportunity to the women we work with. We did this through Purple Impression, our apparel brand, that is being carried by many specialty boutiques nationwide.
Fuse were borne out of our own need when Afshan (our co-founder) could not find sustainable, ethically made sneakers for her travel trip. There were very few options available and what she found, were too bland and boring for her taste. And that's how it all started, an idea to add that pop of color, tradition and heritage into a sneaker that is made with excellence by taking the people and plant into account.

Risks and challenges
Purple Impression has been working with our artisan community for six years now. While we are used to fulfilling big orders, we do understand that there are always risks of delay in anything which is handmade involving such level of detail.
Since each sneaker is individually handcrafted, no two pairs will be exactly alike. There might be some imperfections of the human hand which makes them unique. With that being said, we do have strict quality standards so we will never compromise on quality. Also, we match our thread colors as close to the sample as possible but since they are not mass produced there may be 20% color variation.
We feel confident that we can deliver your rewards on time as we use our previous experience to plan this campaign as well as possible. We have given ourself a window of five months and should be able to deliver your sneaker in October, if not before. However, If for some unforeseen circumstance we fall behind or run into issues that we have not planned for, the Kickstarter community will be the first to know!
