Gosh, you're pushy. Yes, I do, and I have. In fact, the show has received a couple of good offers. One from a well-known global Indian network and one from a large online company (1 million+ YouTube subscribers and 7 million+ Facebook fans). I have mad respect for both channels but I felt the audiences were not a 100% fit. I want to build this together with you - my family, friends, fans, and followers. Sure, we can air it on an Indian network but what do we do for future seasons focused on peoples from other continents such as Latinos, Africans, Europeans, et al.?
I also strongly believe that it will be more pure this way. Studios and networks are still learning the “ethnic” markets; I’ve been doing standup and performing full-time for 12 years. I feel that we - you and I - can make this work better on our own. And if (“when”! “when”!) it’s successful, we will have shaped the market and put a show out for the masses that we all built together.
