So close to the next postcard!
Hello to our 78 backers!
Ok, we have 9 days to go. We have funded... YAY! THANK YOU! And we are only $87 (or 2 backers) away from our next stretch goal. When we hit $3500 we will print each of you another postcard with one of the images from the book!
Please help us tell more people about this book! We've gotten a little bit of coverage... Andy was interviewed on the Adam Dunn Show, and Bobby Black (former senior editor of High Times) posted on social media - but we have yet to get much attention for this book outside of our friends.
If you know anyone or anywhere that might help us promote this book to people who love Amsterdam or love weed or might be interested in Amsterdam because they love weed - please let us know! And if you have any friends who you think might like this, please message them directly... THANK YOU!
Only two more backers before we unlock our next stretch goal... let's make postcards!

QUESTION: Have you ever been to Amsterdam? Do you wish you could visit? Please post in the comments! Looking at these book pages every day has gotten me so wanting to plan my next trip to Amsterdam...
PAGE A DAY: We have been posting a page from the book each day, both on the Kickstarter page and on social media, but in case you missed any of them since the last update, see below. For Day 1 - Day 4 see the first update!
Page of the Day: Day 5: Look for the Signs - Today we jump ahead to page 24. As we move along on our imaginary coffeeshop crawl, Andy points out the signs to watch for: Licensed shops display a very specific green & white sign.
Page of the Day: Day 6: No Alcohol - Today we see page 25, which has more discussion of signs. It used to be the case that some coffeeshops also served alcohol as well as cannabis, but then the “No Alcohol” rule became standard everywhere. Bars are for booze, coffeeshops are for weed.
Page of the Day: Day 7: Hello Chairs - Today we’ve arrived at the Grey Area, another shop Andy likes so much he devotes several pages to it. On page 27, we see the famous chairs that say “Hello.”
Page of the Day: Day 8: Abraxas - Today it’s page 33, one of six pages Andy devotes to his all-around all-time favorite coffeeshop. Abraxas is wonderfully tucked away in a very long and narrow alleyway, and has several floors with exotic decor.
Page of the Day: Day 9: Green House United - Today we jump ahead to page 67, skipping over the pages about Dampkring, Popeye, and Amnesia. The Green House has four locations, and they are some of the finest coffeeshops in town. Today’s page features the Green House United, where they have a fish-tank in the floor and steak on the menu.
Page of the Day: Day 10: No Weedpass! - Today we see page 68, featuring the Pijp Green House and the story of the Weedpass, an attempt a few years ago to restrict access to the coffeeshops by limiting them to Dutch citizens only. We tourists are very lucky that it was voted down!
Page of the Day: Day 11: Talking to Strangers - Today’s page is #69, where Andy encourages you not to be shy. Be on the look out for other tourists from your own country, and strike up a conversation! Coffeeshops can be great places to make new friends.
Page of the Day: Day 12: Bulldog Palace - Today it’s page 74, and we’ve moved on to one of the Bulldogs, another chain with multiple locations. The Bulldog Palace is in the Leidseplein and is located in a decommissioned police station!
Page of the Day: Day 13: The Munchies - Page 76 is about the well-known problem of getting “the Munchies.” Only a few coffeeshops offer real food, but as you travel between the coffeeshops you’ll find all the donuts and french fries you require!
Page of the Day: Day 14: Preciousnesses - Today we jump ahead to page 88, skipping over Barney’s, the Dolphins, and Katsu, to a section about all the random artistic creations you’ll find as you wander. Every little corner of this city has been made precious.
