UPDATE: WE DID IT!! Let's see how big we can make it!
In Summer 2013, Tempest Freerunners Cory DeMeyers and Jesse La Flair raised enough money to embark on an international tour with not much else than their shoes and their cameras to train and compete with the best freerunning communities in the world. When they got home to Los Angeles, their friends were so inspired by their story that they encouraged them to turn their footage into a feature-length documentary about freerunning and parkour and how to overcome life's biggest obstacles to achieve something great.
And FROM HERE TO THERE was born.
Cory, Jesse, and the rest of the team decided the best way to connect with their fans and inspire thousands of more kids is to travel with the film on a 37 city tour across the world. Cory and Jesse want to share their story, train, jam, and hangout with the local communities to continue to spread the word about Freerunning and the powerful impact it has had on so many lives.
In order to make this happen, we need to raise $80,000 to book theaters, flights, and lodging for our 37 city tour. In exchange, we're offering tickets, merchandise, and some great one-of-a-kind perks that bring freerunning (and Cory and Jesse!) from here to YOU. Feel free to message us with any questions and thank you for supporting us on this journey!!
We (Cory DeMeyers and Jesse La Flair) are looking forward to meeting every single one of you! FROM HERE TO THERE will screen in 37 cities in 20 different countries from Athens, Greece to Austin, Texas, USA!
PURCHASING MULTIPLE TICKETS and PERKS
We've received a lot of questions about how to purchase multiple tickets or merchandise since Kickstarter doesn't allow you to choose more than one. Here's our Step-by-Step Guide: 1) Click "Back this Project" 2) When Kickstarter prompts you to select a perk, select your ticket type and city 3) Enter your donation amount (number of tickets x ticket price + any additional perks) 4) Check out 5) Send us a message letting us know how many tickets and additional perks you purchased so we have it for our records.
MEET JESSE LA FLAIR AND CORY DEMEYERS
FROM HERE TO THERE is a documentary that follows best friends and professional freerunners Cory DeMeyers and Jesse La Flair on their 2013 International Freerunning and Parkour Tour. This is the story about their journey to become top athletes and break down boundaries in the fastest growing action sport in the world.
FROM HERE TO THERE is an uncensored inside look into Freerunning as told by the Pros, featuring interviews and appearances by top athletes in Freerunning and Parkour, including Jason Paul, Luci "Steel" Romberg, Anan Anwar, Pasha "The Boss," Shaun Wood, Victor "Showtime" Lopez, Gabe "Jaywalker" Nunez, Frosti, Toby Segar, Marcus Gustavason, Joel Eggiman, and other members of Tempest Freerunning, Team Farang, Ape Connection, Storror Blog, Air Wipp, Krap, and more.
Although there are over 14,000,000 search results for "Freerunning" and "Parkour" on Google and more Freerunning and Parkour videos on YouTube than for Skateboarding, Snowboarding, and FMX combined, it is not yet recognized by the general population as an action sport. We plan to change that by sharing our story and one-of-a-kind experiences across the globe.
FROM HERE TO THERE is not just a documentary, it’s an experience. Our Kickstarter funds will allow us to book theaters around the world, present Q&As at every screening, interact with our supporters, hang out and train with the locals, host amazing jams and after parties, and continue to build the global Freerunning community.
Right now, our tour is made up of 37 cities, but we're working on adding new major cities every day. With your help we can bring FROM HERE TO THERE to every corner of the globe. If you want us to have a screening in a major city near you, you can make that happen by joining our Street Team or letting us know on our Facebook page /FromHereToThereDoc!
While on tour, Cory and Jesse will be hosting jams, hangouts, meet and greets, and Q&As.
While we’d like every single one of our backers to be able to attend a screening, we've included some other great perks for you to enjoy, including a sticker pack, digital screening, T-Shirts, posters, a hat, and a one-on-one Google hang-out session with Cory and Jesse while we're on tour!

Risks and challenges
Making a documentary requires a lot of love and hard work from everyone involved. Fortunately, we're working with people who are the best at what they do to deliver an unforgettable experience. We don't anticipate too many hiccups, but this is a World Tour we're talking about.
We promise to be communicative and honest with our backers about what's going on to make sure we deliver on everything we've promised - and hopefully so much more.
This is just as much your film as ours, so please contact us about any questions or ideas.
