A woman can entirely change her style just by putting a piece of fabric around her neck; a man would right away become dashing by tucking a piece of fabric into that pocket of his jacket. It's a little wonder, scarf.
The idea is to make beautiful and exceptional scarves in small quantity so that all of you don't have the same thing. Fashion itself is supposed to be something fun. When people are wearing similar items or dressing themselves in resembling styles, individual identity is obliterated. I'm not interested in getting everyone wearing the same « It-scarf » or any sort like that. To me, beauty, expression, and difference are so closely related one to another. Silk is the main material I'm using simply because of its versatile characteristics: it has fabulous rendering with digital printing even when it's blended with other material like modal or wool, it's resistant, it's smooth and comfortable, it keeps you warm when it's chilly and it keeps you cool when it's hot.
Scarf is a little canvas with strong potential to express styles, messages, and personalities. It can say a lot as long as you manage to get it right. With these little canvas, I'm trying to make something expressive and limited in quantity, to bring out some difference and individuality from you and others who see the beauty of uniqueness. The prints are visually vibrant with a touch of singularity. The manufacturers and suppliers in Italy are providing good service to ensure the materials high quality and the products proper finishing. Furthermore, when it comes to scarves, a rather poor price-quality ratio exists everywhere from distinguished fashion houses to famed young designer brands. Of course brand name costs and there're people who are looking for that. But there're also others who care more about the design, the material, and the reasonable pricing.
Good quality, intriguing design, accessible price. A well balanced combination as such should exist more out there.
That piece of printed fabric... It must be easy to make. Well, it's relatively easy. Come up with some graphically vibrant prints (not necessarily colourful) to be put onto the fabrics; choose the right fabric with the right print accordingly ; apply meticulous techniques with good care for the finishing. This is the product part. There are also packaging, marketing, communication, sourcing and so on that need to be taken care of. That's where I've been pouring my time and resources into so far, while my limited budget is running out pretty soon and with your support, it'll be possible for me to put more new designs into production and continue to show you new stuff along the way!

You can choose any of them for the size and quality you desire: 45x45cm, 90x90cm, 140x140cm; twill, crêpe de chine, silk/modal, and silk/wool.
A questionnaire will be sent to you for the specification of your choice(s) of print(s) after this campaign ends.
The current limited-edition collection:
The target amount of this campaign (after the commission to Kickstarter) is going to be allocated as following if the campaign succeeds:
- 60% for the production of new collection and backers' rewards.
- 15% for marketing and communicational use, e.g. online ads and sampling.
- 15% for the research and the maintenance of the workplace.
- 10% for sourcing new manufacturers and suppliers to improve the current production structure.
Most of the rewards are not marked limited because they are categorized by quality and size while the limited quantity is subjected to print and quality. For example, a reward choice of 90x90cm silk scarf might have 9 prints available to that quality thus there would be at least 90 copies available. It's a number more than possible to reach and that's why I consider it unnecessary to check the option.
Risks and challenges
In order to go further with this brand, I need to let people know that something like this is existing out there ; I need to find more reliable manufacturers and suppliers to insure that if one is down, there will be always another one that can stand up with equally good quality to maintain our needs and demands.
To maintain the limited-edition standard, I have to constantly come up with new prints and put them into production every 2 to 3 months. The costs of the raw material and the manual work have been climbing gradually since the beginning. And the amount needed to pay up front for the production is often too heavy to afford due to the minimum quantity required by the manufacturer. I accept pre-orders but that doesn't always work because I have to present new designs every now and then, I can not just wait till there're enough of pre-orders then launch the production. When it's necessary to put the new designs into production but the budget is low, that's where the challenge is.
So, to sum up, if you like what you see, please spread the words and let your friends know that there're some beautiful stuff here and have them to check it out!
Please support this campaign to carry on the development of this brand and let me bring you your fabulous scarves!
