It Came From Between 5!!!
Just about to send The Crucible for editing and conversion (just got some very nice art in on it by Australian newcomer Peter Fairfax...well done, Pete!)
Most of the Maladies card entries have been accumulated (still need art on several of them) but it's progressing.
Next up on my development list Al Rigg's The Horror in the Sinks!
But enough on that, let the horror show continue with some more beasties from The Blight!
Awww, look at the cute little guy. He's concentrating so hard on being adorable. You can see his little fists clenched with the effort. :-) These fun playmates adore the sewers, bilges, cellars, and run-off channels located along the twisting length of the Great Lyme River. Not only do they carry the usual contagions of normal dire rats, but...ohmygod...are those fleas on it swarming towards me? They're on my skin! I can't get them off! AAAAAaaaaaaaaahhhhh.......
So there's that too, I guess. O.o
Hey, who's this big fella? He's got some kind of toy...oh my, he is a big fella. And I think that's a human arm. O.O
Why that's a giant rat of Shabbis. Often called The Giant Rat of Shabbis, because rarely do the westerners of Akados see more than one. From the distant--almost mythical--Libynosi port of Shabbis-Beyond-the-Sea, the Green City of Jasper, it's theorized that one or more of these buggers will sneak aboard a ship heading west while more "normal-sized" but something about the western ports of call causes them to grow to a massive size and cull their numbers until there's only one Giant Rat left at which point they inevitably unleash some horrific plague like those that continually ravage the poorer quarters of Shabbis, Bard's Gate itself has had no fewer than 3 Shabbisian Plagues in its history (see the upcoming release The Lost Lands: Bard's Gate) that can undoubtedly be traced back to a Giant Rat. These guys are so nasty that the church of Bast out of Khemit routinely sends crusaders around the world to establish temples in major cities and try to root out the nests of Giant Rats wherever they may lie.
