The latest additions to the Perilous Vistas: Mountains of Madness and Marshes of Malice are environment sourcebooks that delve into the foreboding mountains and explore the mysterious wetlands respectively.
The Perilous Vistas line brings the great outdoors to life. Like their predecessors, the highly acclaimed Dunes of Desolation and Fields of Blood, Mountains of Madness and Marshes of Malice are black and white, 225+ page supplements that build upon real world details and their gaming applications to provide all of the essentials and extras to run campaigns set in one of these remarkable biomes.
These huge Tomes are all well-researched and use real-world information tailored to meet fantasy roleplaying rules that create a feel of "really being there" in each terrain type. For example, we engaged a professional mountain guide, Nate Paul, to work with us on Mountains--so the travel and skill rules were in part developed by a real-life mountaineer!

Mountains of Madness
Mountains of Madness naturally focuses its attention on mountains, the mighty, stone behemoths that soar into the heavens. In particular, it details the Stoneheart Mountains, renowned as the spine of the Lost Lands Campaign Setting and the backdrop for other legendary adventures including The Slumbering Tsar Saga and Sword of Air, all from Frog God Games.
Marshes of Malice
Marshes of Malice examines the semi-aquatic world that straddles the open seas and the wholly terrestrial with special emphasis on previously unexplored or underdeveloped regions in the Lost Lands Campaign Setting. Both supplements introduce new natural and manmade hazards, innovative feats, equipment, alchemical substances, magic items, spells and archetypes that can aid or hinder brave mountaineers aspiring to conquer the majestic peaks and intrepid adventurers endeavoring to tame the feral wetlands. Wondrous illustrations accompany the frightful, new denizens that call these lands home.
What you get inside
Mountains of Madness features an expansive prologue that describes the rustic town of Miners’ Refuge along with four interconnected adventures that take characters from 3rd to 9th levels and flesh out the Stoneheart Mountains region with extensive details about the fabled Dwarven strongholds of Erod Flan and Tyr Whin. Although designed as an adventure path, the quartet can be run independently as well.
Marshes of Malice, on the other hand, include three completely autonomous adventures that take the characters on terrifying journeys into the depths of the bleakest swamps and the bottomless chasm of the darkest souls. These horrific tales occur in the dreaded Dyrgalas Fens, which appeared in the Quests of Doom adventure "Death in Dyrgalas", the Dragonmarsh Lowlands, which is touched upon in Rappan Athuk and the introduction of the previously unexplored Wytch’s Bog. Despite the fact that the adventures take place in locales that appear in the Lost Lands Campaign Setting, the extensive scientific and game mechanics regarding these two environments can be applied to all mountainous and wetlands campaigns regardless of their setting. Likewise, with a few minor adjustments, the adventures can be effectively run anywhere.
With the release of these two sourcebooks for Pathfinder, GMs and players alike can incorporate a wealth of knowledge and groundbreaking ideas to breathe fresh imagination and insight into any excursion to the summits of the highest peaks and the bowels of the dreariest swamps. PDF Reward Distribution
We will email the instructions to groups of eligible backers with instructions on how to access PDF pledge rewards. This is a three step process that is completed using our web store. You will have to create a customer account on the Frog God Games website to get your pdf; it's how we keep track of everything. The Kickstarter PDF files are 'purchased' at zero cost by backers (as they are paid for after the Kickstarter) at the Frog God Games web store using a coupon code. That code we will be sent via email to backers. Our process is what gets you your correct reward, ensures your future access to your reward files, and allows us to track project fulfillment.
Shipping for Physical Products
The shipping is collected in Backerkit. When our backerkit site for the project is ready you will receive an email. This is a separate communication than the Kickstarter survey. In that email you will receive the link to the site where you will be asked to verify your shipping information, your pledge rewards and checkout through their system. It is during this checkout that shipping cost is calculated and charged.

Fields of Blood provides rules and options for any plains campaign. While its adventures can easily be set in any plains campaign, they are, however, official Lost Lands setting adventures intended for characters of levels 1–7+. In the desert, the life-sustaining fluid is more valuable than the most
precious metals, desirable gems and mightiest weapons. Most adventurers believe
that the scarcity of water makes the desert an
inhospitable place devoid of life, riches and challenges.
The incessant glare of a distant, roiling inferno, the intolerable heat of day, the monotonous expanses of sand and the fierce winds are enough to break the will of any man or beast, but natives and experienced adventurers know that the dunes conceal many secrets and treasures. From Bill Webb and Clark Peterson's home campaign comes the old-school setting of The Lost Lands: Stoneheart Valley. For over a decade, fans of Necromancer Games and Frog God Games have been asking to see the world behind the adventures. And at long last, here is where it all began, in the Stoneheart Valley near the town of Fairhill. This mini-campaign was originally presented to the fans of Necromancer Games in three separate modules: "The Wizard's Amulet", "The Crucible of Freya", and "The Tomb of Abysthor". Frog God Games has taken the full series from the 3E version plus supplemental material previously available only online, and converted it all to the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game system.
Risks and challenges
Frog God Games has been in business since 2010, and has fulfilled numerous Kickstarter programs in the past, including projects involving printed cards. As with any crowdfunding program, the time-lapse between payment and delivery of a final product is subject to various risks, including the failure of a supplier, damage in shipment, disruptions within a company, and changes in the prices of materials and shipping.
