ToE2 is a real time strategy and puzzle game with deep city building and match-3/tower defense combat. Lead your kingdom to glory!

This is the second Kickstarter campaign by Frogdice games. Our first campaign for Dungeon of Elements was a big success and it delivered ON TIME. We are very proud of that. Tower of Elements 2 (ToE2) is a real time strategy and puzzle game with deep city building and match-3/tower defense combat. From your capital city you lead your Kingdom against the invading Void Army that threatens all life.

Your strategy, tower defense, and match-3 skills will determine the fate of your armies, but the many political decisions you make as a leader affect the story and the culture of your kingdom.

As your capital city improves, you will have access to more powerful spells, mightier elite troops, and better battlefield gear and armaments.

Along the way you will also earn achievements, complete quests, and fill your Bestiary with enemies.

The capital city of your Kingdom is vitally important. This is where resources are gathered, spells are researched, troops are recruited, battlefield gear is constructed, and much more.

You will build your capital city on one of three continents: MitralonTa'Raekhet, or Katayvan. Each continent has its own strengths and advantages.

There are 8 major building types that you will construct and upgrade. You will also want to grow your population, recruit and train workers, manage resources, and make Kingdom policy decisions that affect both the story and the culture of your Kingdom. All of these decisions will have profound effects on the battlefield.

Combat is handled through a combination of match 3 and tower defense.

Each tower has a grid of elemental runes. When you match at least 3 of these runes in a horizontal or vertical line, they detonate and send elemental bolts onto the battlefield. Any enemy struck by an elemental bolt will take damage.

The battlefield itself is managed in a tower defense manner. Troops, barriers, walls, explosives, and all manner of other options are at your disposal.

During battle, random quests will occasionally be given to you. You can complete these quests for bonus rewards 

You will face 10 bosses with unique and challenging mechanics. Combine your skill at match-3 and tower defense to succeed against the Void Army.

There are 10 regions on the world map with 50 towers at strategic battle locations. Each region has a different type of terrain, and each tower has a different configuration. The rune boards vary significantly in shape, number, and presence of special rune types (locked, frozen, blocked, corrupted, etc.). There is an enormous amount of variety in the match-3 part of the game.

Throughout the game you will make tough decisions as leader. Events will occur where you have to choose the policy your kingdom will follow. These decisions are critical to the story and will also determine the culture of your kingdom. There are four culture traits: Martial, Druidic, Republic, and Elemental. Your decisions will determine the degree to which your Kingdom's culture exhibits some or all of those traits. The result will have both cosmetic and real gameplay effects.

There are 10 bosses throughout the game that present distinct challenges and gameplay mechanics. These tend to be some of the most intense and challenging battles in the game. A few of these bosses (or their relatives) are making a return from Tower of Elements 1 or Dungeon of Elements. They have likely picked up some new tricks so be prepared!

Defeated enemies will occasionally drop scrolls. When you collect a scroll you can then summon and experiment upon that enemy type in your bestiary. This is great fun. Enjoy yourself guilt free!

We have created a set of rewards that hopefully you will find exciting. We put a lot of focus on giving you ways to immortalize yourself in the game and be a permanent part of the game you have so wonderfully supported.

NOTE: All rewards where the backer designs or names something are subject to approval. Obviously we need to make sure it is appropriate for the game and our customers. Your designs appear in everyone's copy of the game so keep that in mind!

A few of the rewards warrant additional explanation.

NAME A VILLAGER: $50 and up. As your kingdom grows, villagers start walking around the city. When you mouse over them you can see their name. At the $50 tier and above you can name a villager that will appear in everyone's copy of the game.

NAME A TOWER: $100, $200, and $300 tiers. There are only 50 towers so we had to limit this to those tiers. You can choose the name of a tower in the game. We will try to accommodate everyone's choice of continent but it will be first come first serve based on when people email us after the campaign ends.

NAME AN ACHIEVEMENT: This is unique to the $200 tier. If you back at a higher tier and really, really want to name an achievement, we can probably work something out. Message us to be sure. We love putting tons of fun achievements in the game. We try to be funny or at least moderately clever in how we name our achievements. At this tier you can name one of them for us! We will note your contribution in the credits.

DESIGN/WRITE A KINGDOM POLICY EVENT: $300 and up. This is really cool. We will give you some examples of existing policy events so you understand how they work. Basically you write a situation that a fantasy medieval leader might face. You then get to create four possible policy decisions and assign them cultural value effects (Martial, Republic, Druidic, and Elemental). This is a very cool way to have a lasting impact on the game's story. We will note your contribution in the credits.

NAME A BAD GUY: $500 and up. Take one of our enemy types and change its name. Would you like to change the "Gobbo Warrior" to something you like better? Use your imagination to name something cool. We will note your contribution in the credits.

BE WRITTEN INTO THE LORE: $1,000 and up. Do you have a favorite RPG character you'd like to have immortalized into the Primordiax game world lore? You can do that here! We will work with you to write you or your character into the lore of this game and the lore of the Primordiax world that spans all of our games. This will be specifically noted in the credits.

NAME THE PENULTIMATE BOSS: $2,500. Our 2nd to last boss was designed specifically so it can be named after someone's favorite RPG character or personality. How cool is it that you can BE A BOSS in a video game? Very cool, methinks. This will be specifically noted in the credits.

Our Kickstarter campaign is designed to pay for professional sound and music as well as the polishing phase of the game. Getting players involved in the final stage of development worked extremely well for us in our last Kickstarter campaign for Dungeon of Elements.

The feedback and ideas we received from players were extremely beneficial. The testing and analysis from many different computers and hardware configurations was also immeasurably valuable.

Most of all, the interaction with die hard fans throughout the campaign and game development was very rewarding and ultimately made for a better game. We hope this campaign will have the same excellent results.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter

As with any video game project, things can go wrong in the development process that can cause delays and add costs. With that said, the risks and challenges for this project are very low because:

1) The game is near completion. It is approximately 2 months from beta and 3-4 months from public launch.

2) Frogdice has multiple successfully launched titles and a 17 year history of quality and dedication to its games.

3) This is our second Kickstarter campaign. Our first one delivered on time to the enjoyment and satisfaction of our backers.
