No worries! Messaging the backers below (personally) who had shipping issues. Some of you I've already spoken with, but we're all good. :)
Michael: The ink is brown. It was brown in the design and was mixed brown, so I suspect any issues with it appearing black were with a computer monitor / screen. The ink colors are 100% what I intended, so rest assured you don't have a mistake copy or anything. :) Rock on! Appreciate the concern.
Hi Rob I'm on the Brazil announcement, you tried to send me a second one already, but it was like May 13th, and still nothing, did you hear any different news?
Hi Rob, recipient moved and setup a forwarding address, but old apt complex returned the package. Any chance you got it back? Thanks, sent to Jacksonville, FL
I left a comment on the final update post, but just in case it gets overlooked there: I'm still waiting for a poster in San Francisco. Sadface.
Disappointed with the quality. The black in particular is washed out and not solid. When framed with a black frame the black print appears almost brown. Not sure if everyone's is like this or I was just lucky.
Brazil folks: Yes pretty much everyone got their posters safely, and I even sent some replacements to folks who had issues with their orders a few weeks ago. I can totally fix any issues, messaging you individually now. :)
i'm from Brazil too and haven't received the poster as well.
Any news about the shipping?
Got it! wooo!!
anyone have suggestions on framing?
Still no sign of it down here in Brazil...
Would you have a tracking number?
Got mine (at last, late backer) in Melbourne, Australia.
Arth - Yes you should have your poster by now, something must have gone wrong? Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I can fix it immediately. :) Messaging you now.
Guess I'm the 0.1%, even though I was in the earliest batch of backers.
Has anyone in Asia received theirs? Can't believe it's taking this long :(
If you messaged me or I messaged you regarding a missing/damaged poster, those all went out earlier this week via Priority mail AND you should have received an automatic email tracking number. This was only for replacement posters where it was clear a tube was damaged or went missing. 99.9% of folks seem to have their ACME posters, so yay! I will handle the very last couple this weekend for orders where USPS dropped the ball, couple returned tubes, etc.
Looks like we are in good shape and pretty much every backer on earth has their ACME poster (or replacement tube in the mail). I want to just say 'Done!' but I know I'm still in talks with a couple of you for various hiccups. No problem.
But basically this ACME project is 100% over and yay!
Got mine today in Australia, great condition and looks awesome :)
Tim - Messaging you.
Rob, I got an email from you last week saying that my poster had been sent back to you and that you had ordered some tubes and that you could mail it out to me this week "for sure". Is it now not going to be mailed until next week?
UNITED STATES - Again, all posters were shipped some time ago. And nearly everybody has their posters! I am seeing a number of very very late shipments, especially in California. This is likely due to the USPS treating the tubes as bulk mail, and only delivering a few at a time out there or something.
If you have messaged me about a damaged tube, or a poster tube that has not arrived, I have actually ordered a BUNCH of custom tubes. Custom thickness (very sturdy), width, and length made especially for ACME! So feel free to message me at any time if something is wrong with your order.
100% of orders have shipped. 99% are safe and sound. I am spending all of this week and next week handling ANY problems. So please message me at any time.
Very excited to see everybody framing their ACME posters! They look great guys!
AUSTRALIA - Just letting you know I am now getting several messages from the a few backer shipments that these tubes are arriving. So if you're waiting on a poster in Australia, keep checking this week perhaps? Uhhhh G'day mates. :) Long distance to travel, but it looks like tubes are arriving there safely.
Lucas - Messaging you now.
Hi rob, may I know the update on my order?
Jerry - Uh oh! It should definitely have arrived. Messaging you now with a replacement solution. :)
Another update from Texas. Still no poster.
Rodrigo, just messaged you! Your poster was mailed via an international carrier on April 2nd. The same is true for many international folks that may still be waiting. Many international tubes take a minimum of 3 weeks, but a maximum of 6 weeks for certain countries. There is a lot of unknown variability, but I expect your poster should be VERY close by now, and should be at your door in Argentina soon. We'll stay in touch!
Rob, I sent you a message to your inbox, now through this. I pledged long ago, december 2nd, and even though mine is international (Argentina) I believe it should already be here (have experience buying things outside Arg). Do you have any chance of getting a tracking number??
Thanks for the reply Rob. Look forward to receiving it soon.
tip of the hat ,
Wooohoooo, got mine. It's worth the wait.
Great job Rob.
Grettings from Zagreb, Croatia
Michael - Messaging you now.
Regarding contact: Email and Kickstarter messages are the best bet, as I can't reveal personal info / shipping info in this comments area. :)
Hey Rob, I too, unfortunately have not received my poster yet. I contacted you early on to let you know a change of address and you responded, so I just wanted to make sure that you sent it to the right address. If it is possible, could you respond in an email? I am having trouble finding some old comments (I actually sent you a similar message to this via the comments several weeks ago and see no record of it)
Sidenote: Because the tubes have my return address on them, in the rare event of a USPS mishap the posters DO get mailed back to me. To date, of 3,000+ tubes mailed I have only had 6 get returned via the USPS. I'm betting it'll be at least a dozen in total, but if a tube DOES get returned to me I would have emailed you directly. So the 6 folks where this happened have been emailed, and I'm remailing said tubes ASAP. :)
Danilo / Eric: I don't have tracking # for those shipments, but it looks both of yours were mailed April 2nd. It's been 3 weeks, and I see plenty of international orders take 4+ weeks so I expect they are close but not quite there yet. :) No worries!
I'm aware that international orders takes longer to be delivered, is that any chance you can send me the tracking number?
I can't wait to see it myself!
Rob, just to let you know, I'm still waiting in Taiwan. Any reports of other backers in Asia receiving them yet?
Erika / Donald / Boris: Just messaged each of you. :)
Hey Rob, I have been waiting and I even postponed a move across the country (and thus an address change) to try and get my poster, but alas still no poster :( and now I have a new address (usps is forwarding mail so presumably poster should still get here). I was wondering if you can give me any sort of update/info
Sent an email w/ pics regarding my damaged poster and have not yet heard back.
I still have received our poster in Little Rock, zip code 72205. Please check your rolls to be sure there weren't any issues! Thanks!
John - Messaging you now. I see an issue with your particular pledge, no worries. Fixing it now!
I live in New Orleans. Still no poster. I'm very. Bummed.
Tim - I messaged you April 15th. No worries, I will send another update now. We'll get this handled. :)
I hate to be rude, but I've tried to be as nice and patient as I can. Why do my messages keep being not responded to? If you send me a new one to replace the "lost" one and I get the original one shortly after, I'd be more than happy to send you back the replacement. I'm just ready to get the poster that I paid for.
Hashish - Yes it is signed with a very hard 4H pencil. This lets the number and signature be very light, but press deeply into the paper to ensure it cannot be erased / forged. Not that that is a concern of mine, I simply am following the tradition all artists use to sign their work (especially photographers, etc.). I sign all of my screen prints with the same pencil! It's becoming a very small pencil...
Tobia - I sent you an email. Will send you a replacement, no worries!
David - I'm messaging you now. Good news :)
Still willing to wait, but as of April 22, still had not received my poster in Wisconsin.
Finally got my poster and it looks amazing. It looks like it was signed with pencil, is that the case?
Either way, great job on the poster. Can't wait to get it framed.
Got mine early this week and it was damaged.
I've been trying to contact you, but your mailserver is not responding.
Please contact me.
Anyway, I am paying very close attention guys! :) All your posters were mailed, and I am gathering tubes and shipping supplies for any random tubes that end up damaged. So far less than 1% of ACME poster have arrived damaged, which is good!
From USPS: Media Mail - "Delivery in 2 to 8 days*"
While a good projection, I've read up on shipping times and apparently 14 business days isn't uncommon for the delayed shipments. Obviously some folks did indeed get their poster 2 days after it shipped, which is great! Some 4 days, some 8. We are on day 13 now I think.
All of this applies to United States orders only. International orders use a different service, so many countries already have their posters, others not yet.
The reason US orders are being shipped Media Mail is because 1. The post office approved the poster for that usage (I suppose because the poster looks like a chart) and 2. The post office increased shipping rates between when our ACME project closed in December and when I started shipping in January. (The international shipments cost so much more than projected due to the increase that shipping any tube Priority, etc. was impossible)
Again, if you don't have a poster yet your tube was mailed on April 2nd. Those who were getting posters weeks ago had theirs mailed March 15th and 18th.
I haven't yet pulled the trigger on saying any order is lost, due to the fact that more US orders are showing up on people's doorsteps every single day this month. The timing is unexpected, but a safe ACME poster tube is the goal for me.
24x36" ACME poster. Signed, numbered, and shipped to your door.
