What is The Nomad and Why are we trying to make it?
The Nomad Project is our way of creating a multifunctional hoodie/towel as well as bringing manufacturing back to the USA.
The nomad will stream line your travels and lighten your load on your next trip. Wear it as a hoodie, lay it down as your towel, or toss it on to change.
Looking at the current markets offerings we found that most brands offered cheaper cottons, poorly sewn, and were importing them from over seas.
Our goal is to bring quality, care, and attention to detail back to the market. If the larger companies don't want to make the first move in trying to manufacture domestically we are more than happy to.
We will be the ONLY company manufacturing cotton changing towels that are 100% grown, sewn and printed here in the USA in our own shop. We think thats cool!
If things can be made well overseas, they can be even better in America. After researching out to the cotton supply chain in the United States, we have been able to connect with key players who can help make this project possible.

Our goal for this project is to not only create a multi-functional changing/beach towel, but to do so using 100% made in the USA materials and 100% USA manufacturing. We have set out to prove that materials from the USA can not only be a great quality, but also competitively priced. Meaning that just because it is made in the USA, it does not mean you have to pay more than something made overseas.
The funds raised from KickStarter will be used for manufacturing. Like with most companies they are requiring a minimum order for our custom cut-and-sew item. We have worked closely with them over the last few months creating samples and adjusting them as we go along.
We started by cutting up bath towels and used these to make our first templates that we sent out.
After receiving our first sample we started making our adjustments until we felt we had the best fit. Being that this is a one size fits most item it was important to get this right.
We are now ready to help change the way you change and we promise to keep you covered.
Risks and challenges
With every project there are risks and challenges. However with this being our second kickstarter we feel more prepared and have a better understanding of how the process will work.
We have worked to get to the final sampling stage before running our kickstarter to ensure we are able to produce the nomad.
Shipping tends to be one factor that is hard to control after an item leave our shop so we have tested different shipping options to find the most cost effective way as well as safe to ship and have consistent tracking updates. This is allowing us to provide the best vale to each backer.
We have also put together a schedule for planned updates. We know how important it is to keep backers in the loop for every step of the project and no matter how busy we are we will keep the updates coming.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
