Time to celebrate and to set new goals!
Wow! We did it! At 10:39am Swedish time, we reached our goal of 50.000 USD. A very special thank you Sami Lill - you brought us over the mark! We are overwhelmed by the amazing support we've gotten from all of you. The hard work has paid off and we could not be happier.
This doesn't mean we're done yet! Our main goal from the beginning has been to show that WE ARE MANY who truly see the bike as a tool for change and who think this is a documentary that can help deliver that message. The more backers we receive, the louder that message becomes.
So, keep sharing our campaign with your friends and tell them that they can help us send out an important message to the world! Thanks for everything you've done so far. We could not do this without you!
We also decided to set a new goal. We want to raise another 20.000 USD to invest in our community, that is you, and to make sure that we all can take advantage of being many. Our website is based on Nationbuilder, a community tool. It would be revolutionary if we could afford to do some research and groundwork to figure out how this platform could be to the benefit of all of you. Most of you have probably seen our impressive map that shows that our network is all over the world. We could, for example, figure out what your priority common goals are (are they about lobbying, environment, bike lanes?) so that we can help out to reach them together. We need to find easy and pedagogic ways to communicate and collaborate and design the platform for it. We also need to hand out tasks to key people all over the world that can help us administrate this. The 20.000 would cover the costs for a part-time employee and expenses for key people, workshops and research. We have a generous friend who will help us kickstart our new goal by matching all US pledges coming into Kickstarter during a 24 hour period starting 7am Monday morning (LA time). Who our friend is we will let you know on Monday morning...
