Some of the greatest musicians and entertainers have performed at the legendary Bitter End in New York City. Likewise, some of the greatest live albums have been recorded at the venerable night spot, including those of music greats Joe Cocker, Neil Diamond, The Isley Brothers, Curtis Mayfield and Donny Hathaway.
Hathaway's recording had a profound effect on an up-and-coming teenager from Cleveland, who became singer-songwriter, musician and producer Frank McComb.
Having played the Bitter End on several occasions, Frank was invited to produce his own live album at this historic venue. On September 26, 2013, his performance was recorded live at the club, in a concert that also paid tribute to the great Donny Hathaway.
Recognizing the significance of this career moment, Frank wants to ensure that this milestone achievement is presented in a manner befitting the greatness of the opportunity. This Kickstarter campaign was created to preserve this recording in a first class, professionally-printed CD package that collectors of music will cherish alongside their all-time favorite recordings.
Funds raised through this campaign will go towards reproducing the CDs, printing the album packages and delivering the final product to those help to those make it possible. Donors of $25 or more will receive the physical CD and have their names included in the notes of the album booklet, and thus, become a part of this history-making project.
Risks and challenges
Would like to raise funds to have the product published and ready for distribution by November 27th.
We need enough support to raise the funds within 30 days. If the funds are not raised within that period, the project will not receive any funds, per Kickstarter rules.
We expect that discs will be ready for mailing in December, but please allow for holiday schedule and the possibility of a slightly delay. Every effort will be made to deliver the music as promptly as possible.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
