1st Stretch Goal Reached!

Hi everyone,

As of just now, we have reached our stretch goal target of £46.000!

Thanks to all the input you gave us we will be able to improve the overall performance of the FS-X and make it a better product, whether for indoors or outdoors.

If at the end of the project we still exceed £46.000 in pledged funds, you will get your speaker equipped to resist dust and water to at least IPX4, and hopefully IPX5!

Which exact IPX level we can do, we will reconfirm as soon as possible, with another update.

Thanks very much all of you! We really appreciate it.

Best regards,

The Frankenspiel Team

P.S. The 2nd Stretch Goal will be arriving shortly.

      @ Craig Trickett: As you might have seen we’ve just put out our second stretch goal (please see Update #14 for more information).
      We’re not here to knock other speakers. Maybe the most practical suggestion is to check out the reviews and feedback we have posted.
      And yes, using power from the battery with the amplifier we use, the FS-X can be very loud and clean i.e. without any distortion.

      @ Jon Webb: Of course, it will have no effect on the sound quality.

      @ Kirill: Thanks for the comment. IPX lays down standard test procedures that we will have to follow to qualify for the IPX ratings.

      Hey guys, maybe you can clarify something for me... I have a set of Creative T40 speakers on my PC at the moment. I used a decibel meter on my Xperia Z and measured around 80.... I also googled some benchmarks to compare this and found the below;

      Does this mean that the FS X can go louder and clearer than these? On a battery?

      I just backed this and I'm dying to know what any future stretch goals could be. How will this compare to the Bose Bluetooth speakers? If it's comparable I'm willing to increase my backing to hit other stretch goals. No problem.

      Nice, as long as it doesn't compromise sound quality.

      im really glad to hear this. heres a test. put it on the wet sand by the water at the beach on a windy day and if after 5 hours it still unharmed, it pases. or put it in a container with sand and a big fan. also have a water sprinkler on top
