Backers ‘First Look’

Hello everyone,

We’ve received delivery confirmation from three of our ‘First Look’ backers based in the UK.

One is on its way to a backer in the USA - as of 6th July it arrived in Kennedy New York, it is now being processed for delivery. And another is on it’s way to a backer in India and is currently being processed for delivery in Mumbai. So be on the look out for more feedback from your fellow backers soon!

Issues have already been reported, the main issue seems to be about power settings. It’s important for us to understand exactly what is going on. We will report back as quickly as possible.

Following the first few comments from the Backers ‘First Look’, we’d like to highlight a few important features to ensure the FS-X is set-up for the best results.

Positioning your FS-X: In dual mode, we recommend you place your FS-X units on a surface in front of a wall (boundary reinforcement) and try to ensure the left/right units are around 80 cm apart for optimal results.

You will find that this enhances all frequencies, but in particular gives much more bass depth.

This is not a requirement but we have found this gives the best stereo results.

Slightly more power will be used on the master (left channel) in dual mode, this is because it has to both transmit and receive. For this reason, wireless range will decrease to around 5 m, instead of 10 m between your device and the master FS-X.

This is explained in more detail in our operating instructions in our last update.

Battery status: There is a battery indicator for the FS-X. This is shown on your device when connected wirelessly.

For example, here’s what it will look like when using an iPhone, notice the small, horizontal battery symbol to the right of the Bluetooth symbol:

Remember this is only indicating battery status for the left-master-FS-X.

We hope this helps! We look forward to reading more of your feedback.

Here’s a reminder of our timeline.

I'm pretty sure that the battery level meter uses apple specific commands. (If you want to know more Google hfp apple battery and see apple's documentation page 28.)

Android does not have this feature so could you make a small app that shows us state of the battery on android? That would be really helpful.
