Hello backers,

David will be visiting our team in China this month to help in the final stages of our project. He’ll be making sure, above all that our new timeline is as short as it can reasonably be, and that all the necessary elements are 100% ready to ship.

The last thing we want to do is fail you again by not meeting another timeline. So our main focus over these next few weeks will be to look into finding ways to reduce time in shipping and delivery.

For example, we are still looking into faster options to deliver the components to Amsterdam, such as other ways to air-freight the drivers, instead of using the train.

6th May to End of May

Finalising project in China 

  • Providing final specs and pictures of all accessories (carry case, fast-charger, cables) 
  • Completing pre-production and build of units for test & review 
  • Delivery of all components to Amsterdam warehouse


Test & review of production FS-Xs by reputable blogs

      It'll be interesting to see how well these units perform. Everyone is frustrated, including myself, but I do believe they will deliver something (who knows when). If it's truly remarkable (i.e. £70 retail, but performs like a £200 speaker) then I'll happily back the sub-woofer project. If it sounds like a £70 speaker (or even £45) then I'll have lost faith in Frankenspiel for good.

      Okay. But this hasn't done them any favours. Get the product right, then get it built and shipped. Also the team in China, after the sell made it sound all so much like the team were in England. Never again.

      I had planned to have these last summer, now it's a case of hoping for this summer. Obviously you're going to delay again though so it's more a case of how long do you string us along before everyone realises you've either stolen £80,000 or you've pissed it all up the wall?

      - Sending pre-production unit for reviews. We don't care now
      - Test & review of production FS-Xs by reputable blogs : We don't care


      DAVID is the guy the less repect for backers.
      If David is still in the subwoofer KS campaign, be sure I'll not back it.

      So... this the same timeline you posted in update #59, but it 2 months delayed and the timeline is now a month longer.

      Can you please explain what caused the delay and what progress you have made? Please provide some evidence that you are doing something and not just wasting our money. Even just providing a clear explanation of what mistakes you have made, how your partners are being unhelpful, or what the **** is going on would go a long way. So far all you can do is provide incredibly vauge (and often misleading) information on the production process.

      In the may 30th update, you promised: "From now on, we’ll be posting frequent updates with more material and more accurate news on shipping, as and when we know it."

      Since then, this is the 'accurate news on shipping' you have provided:

      april 22nd "In regards to shipping, the final units have gone into pre-production and we are expecting to receive some solid dates shortly."

      april 17th "we haven’t been able to send all the units from China to our Amsterdam warehouse yet."

      You promises to make the process as short as possible are meaningless since nobody believe anything you say about shipping anymore. If you would explain what has and is happening it might go a long way to restore trust and communication.

      Completely no explanation for the delay. I don't understand why it is not given. And as always they are in the final stages of the project. OK let's see. Someday they will manage.

      I'm trying to decide if this farce is purely down to ineptitude or a outright con. It's looking increasingly like the latter as surely no one can be that feckless.
      It's time to admit that we're never going to see anything from this sham company and move on.

      Well I certainly appreciate you honouring your commitment to keeping the communication lines open and updating us regularly.
      As a project manager myself, though, I really can't fathom why your ability to estimate a fairly straightforward timeline is so shockingly bad.
      The update on Mar 31 said "Remember: we extended our projections to counteract any possibility of unforeseen slippage, we are still on target for delivery" and ship date given was 4 May. No changes to this date were announced until today, i.e. after the date had passed, and then it is a 2-month slippage. Fact: you will have known you were going to miss the 4 May date before today. That is the sort of info that I suggest you include in your updates.
      Like others, I'd also like to see some photos of the accessories and the factory where it is all happening, as that would give us some sense of things happening 'at scale' which is what I think we are all hoping for now.
      Good luck with the final stages; my suggestion would be to rent a decent project manager for a couple of weeks to get a timeline you can actually stick to.

      How can your original timeline be so wrong? Surely there must have been even a small amount of thought gone into it and you must have accounted for delays? Its starting to become a joke. I mention these speakers to my friends on occasion and they laugh at me for it. Its an embarassment.

      July. I ordered this as a 30th birthday present for myself (when I was 29). I'll be (at least) 31 when this comes. Under no circumstance should any delivery be measured in years.

      How do I get a refund please?

      I'm with Guillermo, updates/communication improving, clear(er) and on-time.
      Also glad to see that "demo" has been outsourced to "reputable blogs" , .... , but still a bit wishy-washy though (oh-oh) , what is "reputable"?

      What a joke.

      Few month back I asked for a refund and the answer was

      "We now have a clear delivery date. If we fail to deliver we will refund you".

      GUYS!!!! You can't delay for 100 years and say stupid things like this! " Yes we have a clear date".

      Are you shi**** me? Nothing is clear, you keep lying to people... Your company can't be trusted

      This is the worst experience I ever had...

      The only thing that is clear for me just now is that your company is a joke. I am done with Kick starter.

      And I am surely done with your company!

      Send me my stuff quickly. It better work fine.
      And then I never want to ear from you.
      All I wanted was a refund.

      It would have been much more relaxing just to spend 20$ more and have some speakers NOW... can't wait to get them.. -_-

      Much more pleased with this way to frequently update us as your backers. There were some demanded issues (i.e. David being part of the team or news about accessories) which are addressed in this update, and hope this trend will continue further and with further clarifications, which no doubt are needed.

      On the final quality of the speaker+demo videos, as a non-expert I'm just hoping the final product (quoting previous comment, "fingers crossed" there will be one) will meet my expectations. Because that what every product is all about. It is an inherent problem to Kickstarter that you need to raise that much the expectations for a non-finalised product that in the end they become very hard to meet. And it is in this latter case where communication with your backers is crucial. Keep it this way. Best regards.

      I wonder who would back the subwoofer campaign after experiencing this atrocious project.
