      Hi Irina,
Thanks for your comment. I've considered a CC license, but feel that AVIE is a better fit for this particular project. Their visibility and distribution is quite impressive, as is the roster of artists.
I'm pretty confident we'll get this funded, with 39 days to go. Pass it on, and thanks again for the comment.

Hello and a quick question: have you considered releasing the recording under a Creative Commons license?

Judging by the success of the open Goldberg variations project here on kickstarter there is a lot of interest in Creative Commons music. There are different types of CC licences; open Goldberg used what is the equivalent of public domain but there other options that require attribution and restrict commercial use without the artist's permission.

Personally I am very interested in and support CC licensed music, classical in particular but also other genres on general principles, and a CC release might attract more backers.

In addition, a CC release might get the project favourable press from sites such as ars technica, boing boing or paidcontent (I found out about open Goldberg from one of those, alas too late to contribute).

      Cheers and good luck
