Pixel Glory - Light and Shadow
Playtime: 30 Minutes
For more information about the base game, Pixel Glory - Light and Shadow, see the What is Pixel Glory section.
Pets are awesome companions that join you on your quest for Pixel Glory! Pets adds a new mechanic to Pixel Glory: Light & Shadow. Pets stay by your side every turn to help you slay monsters in the dungeon. The Pets expansion gives each player a 10 value auction card! After drafting 9 spells, the final auction card in each players hand is used to draft one of the revealed pets just the same as when you draft regular spells.
Pixel Glory: Light & Shadow is a fast-paced dungeon crawling card game for one to four players that plays in 30 minutes and takes five minutes to learn. Team up with fellow wizards to vanquish the sinister monsters that lurk in the dungeon, and save the nearby village. This is a noble and honorable quest, and... oh, who are we kidding? In reality, you're a greedy wizard who is all about fame and personal gain, and your fellow wizards are cut from the same cloth! Prevail over your opponents by learning the best spells and using that knowledge to outmaneuver and kill-steal in the dungeon, so you can gain admiration of the townsfolk, fame across the realm, and achieve Pixel Glory.
The game includes:
There are many ways to play!
Light & Shadow Second Edition is a stand alone sequel to the original Pixel Glory game. Light & Shadow can be combined as an expansion to the original Pixel Glory, but it is certainly a complete and independent experience! Light & Shadow features new game modes, and exciting new mechanics. If you're interested in purchasing the original Pixel Glory, you can visit our website for more information!
Pixel Glory - The Heroic Dungeon is a new expansion featuring 5 new exclusive spells, and 51 familiar monsters but with all new abilities and a heroic difficulty - this is a difficult dungeon to conquer, even for the best wizards.
Due to us reaching a special stretch goal, all cards in the heroic dungeon are holographic!
We sold out of Pixel Glory: Light & Shadow, and it's time to reprint! We've been a publishing company first on Kickstarter with the original Pixel Glory back in 2013! We don't like the idea of trying to maximize profit and essentially exploit our Kickstarter community.
The Kickstarter community is single handily responsible for changing our lives, and helping Russell and I launch a game company that was originally expected to be a resume booster into a company that is slowly becoming our life's work. We're more interested in expressing gratitude to the community that's willing to pay money to support our games months in advance than to look at them as wallets that we should work to exploit more money out of. We've actually stopped spending money on advertising and doing stretch goals for our Kickstarters because it just doesn't sit well to prioritize income off the Kickstarter community for us.
Pay What You Want is intended to let people get the new stuff for the game they already own for essentially free. If you want to pledge more, that's awesome! Seriously, thank you.
If not, that's awesome too! You already own our game which is amazing, and you want the new stuff for it which means you probably like it, play it, and share it with others which is amazing. A minimum pledge is far from anything other than your support, and we're super grateful.
We are a small team of ladies and gentlemen that like to treat gamers like the ladies and gentleman that they are. This means, we will provide you with an experience that is professional, honest, transparent, and most importantly, respectful from beginning to end. It's a horrible thing to see hobby game companies treat the people that keep them afloat as just a customer, and that is not what we are about.
By March, we have published seven games with several expansions. We have successfully fulfilled 9 Kickstarters, delivered the majority of those campaigns early, and released two games without Kickstarter. We look forward to successfully delivering the rewards from this, our 10th, campaign!
Risks and challenges
There aren't any risks here; we have a proven track record and an established relationship with an excellent and experienced manufacturer. The artwork is complete for everything, and we listed October as our delivery date which is realistically 3 months further out than when we actually expect to have everything delivered. There is a minimal possibility of delays with overseas shipping, but other than that, we are confident to deliver an exceptional experience.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
