Earlier this year, Baltimore psychedelic band Fractal Cat released its third album of original material, The Tower. Turning to darker themes, The Tower—inspired by its Tarot namesake—describes a time of radical breakdown of illusion, when a revolutionary force strips away walls of comfort and complacency. Using dreamlike imagery to speak to urgent social and political matters, this collection of songs synthesizes the timely and the timeless into a passionate and surreal vision for today's world. The album was produced by Frank Marchand and songwriter Miles Gannett, and was mastered for vinyl by classic-era Motown engineer Bob Olhsson.
Released in digital formats earlier this year, the album’s single “Have I Lost My Way” has enjoyed heavy rotation on Baltimore’s WTMD Radio, and in August The Tower debuted at #14 on the Relix/Jambands.com national radio chart.
After three albums, the band is excited to announce our first ever release on vinyl record, the way we always envisioned our music to be heard. With your support we can make this dream a reality!
Risks and challenges
We are hoping that after the completion of this project, the LPs will be ready to ship by mid-December, in time for the winter holidays. However, there is no way to be completely certain that there won't be delays. That being said, we have our final audio masters ready, the manufacturer has been selected and contacted, and all we need to begin production is funding!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
