Funded with over $14k!!

Posted by Gary Chao (Creator)

Thank you so very much to everyone - we raised a total of $14,228 from 636 backers! This has been a dream come true, and we're going to work hard to finish making the game into the best it can be.

Backer surveys will be sent out within a week as we now have solid numbers to work with.

If you missed out on the campaign, we're also working on a post-campaign PayPal option. We'll send out an update when that's ready.

We'll continue posting updates here on the Kickstarter so you can stay up-to-date with the latest news of what's going on with us in development, announcements, and milestones.

Finally, we are attending IndieCade (an indie games festival) in Los Angeles on October 13-16. We'd be happy to meet you if happen to also be attending - just let us know!

I'm going to be pinching myself throughout the day.

Less than 48 hours remaining + online co-op stretch goal reached!

Posted by Gary Chao (Creator)

Hey everyone!

We've got less than two days left on the campaign (it ends October 1 in the morning around 5am PST), and we've just reached our second stretch goal today! I'm so glad we made it as we wanted online co-op in the game very much (many indie games don't touch netcode), and it was one of the most requested features.

Thank you so much to the nearly 600 backers who have made this possible.

As always, if you know anyone who likes puzzle games send them over to our page so they can check it out!

Bonus: If you didn't check out the article from last time, here's a screenshot of Andrew's (artist) early concept for the game. Things sure have changed!

4 days left + the game's journey!

Posted by Gary Chao (Creator)

There are only 4 days left in the campaign with just over $1,000 to go to reach that second stretch goal! Let's push for that online co-op before it's over. Again, thanks to all backers who have supported us so far!

If you'd like to read more in-depth details on how the game came to be, check out this recently published article on Gamesauce. For example, take a look at this very early screenshot of the game:

The game was originally meant to be very simple (I wanted it to be done in just a few months) and just black and white. This screenshot illustrates what I had accomplished before I formed a team around it. It wasn't until I asked our artist Andrew to play around with what he could do with the space that I decided this really had the potential to be something more. Read on about the history of the game in the article!

I'd like to mention one more thing. I love all sorts of puzzle games, and recently I saw another project on Kickstarter that I ended up backing called Woven. They have an interesting premise and ambitious vision. This is a point-and-click adventure game in which you play as a stuffed animal in a world of fabric which has been recently threatened by metal creatures. You can "reknit" your character's body with different designs and materials to give it special abilities to solve puzzles.

I can't wait to play this game! I encourage you to visit their Kickstarter and see if this is something you'd like as well.

Demo minor graphics update!

Posted by Gary Chao (Creator)

Happy Friday!

We've updated the demo with new backgrounds and fog effects. This is still a stopgap solution towards our final vision, but we're exploring usage of a higher range of values for light/dark colors and distancing out the background a bit more which combines into a greater sense of depth than before. Here's a screenshot of one of the levels before:

And here's how it looks now:

As you can see, the darker parts especially look more "mature" in the sense that they're richer in fidelity and looks more like night than before. I hope you all can try out this new version and let us know what you think!

10 days remaining + first stretch goal!

Posted by Gary Chao (Creator)

This has been a really exciting month! There are 10 days remaining, and we are just on the cusp of $10k. At this point we have pretty much reached our first stretch goal, which is dedicating a good portion of the funds to purely visual improvements. I know you'll like what we have planned :) Thank you so much to all the backers who have helped make this milestone possible!

Some of our early fans have been really stoked about our t-shirts that they've won, so we thought we'd share a couple of them here:

As a quick reminder, you can get a t-shirt by pledging an extra $25 at whatever tier you are and indicate that you want one with those extra funds when we send out backer surveys!

We're optimistic that we can hit the $12.5k goal by the end of the campaign so online co-op can unlock. Ready for the final stretch!
