Table Tantrums is a card based game for 2 to 6 players. Your task is to seat guests at a Renaissance banquet, without upsetting anyone.
It is Renaissance Italy: You, as a group have been tasked to create a banquet for a major noble. However, his guest list has several people on it who could cause unpleasant disruptions to the festivities. Your task is to allocate the guests to the spaces on the table, without causing any potential incidents.
Table Tantrums contains a board, representing the table and a deck of cards representing the guests and specials that alter the conditions to place a guest.
Play continues with each person seating a guest until one player has placed all their cards, and is declared the winner.
Introducing the Host
The Host is possibly the most important person at the banquet. Without him there would be no banquet.
He must sit in the middle of the top table, and whoever is lucky enough to be dealt this card shall start proceedings.
The Host is a noble (denoted by the style of picture frame), he is male (denoted by the red curtains), he has a Nobility Rank of 6 and the only special rule that applies is that he must be placed in the middle of the top table.
Introducing the family of the Host
The Host may be a busy man, but he has his wife to help him plan things. He also has a son and heir and a daughter (and another son apparently).
The Host's Wife is very supportive and must sit next to her husband, but make sure she keeps away from the Blonde and Brunette Mistresses!
The First Son of The Host is not considered nobility although he must sit with his father at the top table.
The Daughter of The Host is similarily not considered nobility and is free to sit wherever she wishes.
The Second Son of The Host is generally expected to keep out of his father's way ;-)
Have At Thee
We are also offering the chance to save some money and buy our other game, Have At Thee. This game was also written by Richard and is a fast paced game of a multi-opponent sword fighting.
Risks and challenges
This is the third project we have run using kickstarter, and our second game. We feel that with this and our experience over the last few years we have the necessary skills to deliver the project on time and in budget.
