Forivor’s super-soft luxurious organic bedding plays with the idea of transformation to transport you between two different lands.
Designed in the UK, our beautiful reversible bedding features a unique hand-drawn illustration on each side and is accompanied by a set of illustrated Character Cards that provide facts about nature and storytelling cues.
One side of the bedding depicts a British woodland, where wildlife hides in the undergrowth and up in the branches of the trees for children to find. Turning over the bedding reveals a transformed nighttime world. A place of wonder, where glow worms light up the enchanted forest and fantastical creatures play in secret burrows underground.
Our Enchanted Forest single duvet and pillow case (as shown above and below) are made from the softest organic cotton satin with a simple hidden button closure on the duvet and classic envelope style pillow slips. The duvet measures 140 X 200cm and the pillowcase is 75 X 50cm.
The duvet set comes in a Forivor suitcase (see below) and is accompanied by a set of Junior Character Cards. The cards draw on the popularity of collectable cards, providing interesting and memorable facts about wildlife on one side, encouraging children to explore and understand the world around them. The other side introduces the transformed creatures of Forivorland, their secrets and magic powers. Storytelling cues and questions encourage children to create their own bedtime tales.
As well as creating magical childhood memories, oral storytelling plays an important role in the development of a child’s creative mind, memory development and language skills. We believe that by encouraging children to be storytellers who are passionate about nature, we can help nurture a generation of responsible guardians for the planet.
The Enchanted Forest Quilted Blanket is made from super-soft 300 thread count organic cotton satin and stuffed with a bouncy organic cotton wadding that makes it unbelievably soft for young delicate skin.
It measures 105 X 150cm and is perfect as a blanket or playmat for babies or as a duvet for toddlers and young children.
Our Baby Character Cards accompany the quilted blanket and feature large black and white illustrations with lyrical descriptions of animal sounds and characteristics for parents to enjoy reading and learning with their young children.
Hand-embroidered by Sewa Delhi Ruaab women's cooperative, this exquisitely detailed wall hanging brings Forivor's characters to life and makes a stylish addition to nurseries and children's bedrooms (but you don't need a child as an excuse to have one in your home)!
Both the Enchanted Forest Duvet Set and the Quilted Blanket are presented in our hardwearing organic cotton Forivor Suitcase (as shown in the animation at the top). In the suitcase you'll find Character Cards encased in their own sturdy cotton canvas zip-up pouch.
The Forivor suitcase was designed to reduce throwaway packaging and can be used as a first sleepover bag or for play.

At the heart of Forivor’s philosophy is a commitment to supporting and inspiring the protection of our natural world and all the wildlife that belongs to it, while providing an opportunity to learn and explore our imaginations.
Forivor’s bedding is designed to last and be passed from one generation to the next, taking some of the stories that have been told with it and creating a legacy of imaginative creative thinkers who are passionate about the planet.
Forivor’s bedding is produced in India by an award-winning factory using rain-fed cotton from small landholders without the use of toxic pesticides that are harmful to human health and wildlife - reducing carbon emissions and helping to protect the natural world we have been inspired by and its future for our children.
Our Character Cards are printed in Oxford by an award-winning and innovative environmental printer.
We need to raise £5,000 to produce our first collection and get started on our journey, and we can only do it with YOUR help! We have final samples from our partners in India that we are very happy with and know you are going to love.
In addition to our signature designs that we have featured here, we have also developed a broader collection of repeat prints and patterns across a wider range of interiors products - £5,000 will help us get one step closer to producing these and future collections based on at-risk habitats that we would like to draw attention to with our unique concept.
The textiles industry is the 5th largest contributor to carbon emissions in the US and is responsible for devastating human rights and environmental abuses globally. By supporting Forivor you are helping to grow the market share of organic textiles and as such provide a more sustainable future for people and planet. Please take a look at our website for more information.
Everything is ready to go for the production of our first collection. We've checked our colours, our stitching, the quality of craftsmanship, road tested our products with kids of all ages and gone back to the drawing board a few times.
We are now 100% happy and confident we have a product which parents and children are going to love. As soon as we pay for our production we have to wait three months for our boxes of duvets and blankets to be produced and one month for them to be slow shipped (to save carbon) from India - then we can send them on to you and start selling on our online shop and to retailers.
And we'll have you to thank for helping us get our business off the ground!
We are Rebecca Attwood and Alice Ross - co-directors with a mission to inspire magical sleep!
The idea for Forivor, which is named after Rebecca's father Ivor, came to Rebecca after trying and failing to write a story for her goddaughter and coincidentally trying (and failing) to find beautiful organic bedding. She was inspired by her childhood growing up without electricity on the Welsh borders as well as her work with iconic British designer Katharine Hamnett and the Environmental Justice Foundation. Alice's detailed and evocative drawings were the perfect partner for this unique concept and so a dream team was formed. And we both just happen to love anything pickled and a certain shade of dusky pink.
Before the arrival of baby Remie, the office mascot, Rebecca worked to protect people and planet at the Environmental Justice Foundation, leading a variety of creative projects with fashion designers, artists, political figures and philosophers to ensure environmental security as a basic human right in some of the world's poorest countries.
When Alice isn't in Forivorland she gets to work with the 6 million objects at the British Museum; coordinating projects and sometimes gets to sleep next to giant ancient Egyptian sculptures during sleepovers!

Risks and challenges
We have spent two years perfecting our designs and the supply chain to ensure we have confidence in our supply chain and are offering the finest most luxurious and environmentally friendly product.
However as with any business that imports goods from overseas there are risks. For example during our sampling process we waited an additional 6 weeks for our sample collection to arrive as the shipment had been caught in the worst flooding in 100 years in Chennai, India. We have factored in additional time should our changing climate be unpredictable again.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
