Have a question?
Any word on shipping status? Is there any tracking information being sent out, or will we just be surprised whenever it shows up?
I'm not a special edition backer, for what it is worth...
No sorry, the Special Edition versions have not shipped yet, they are coated and on their way to being etched right now! Soon!
Thank you for the status update.
Thanks guys and gals! For everyone who hasn’t received one yet, rest assured I’m still shipping out. I had to stagger shipping because of work etc. I’ve had much to handle.
Good news for special edition backers as well, the ceramic coated SE editions are coated and ready for etching, so expect shipment on those soon as well!
I’m so glad you like them so far, let me know if you have any questions or issues with them.
I’ll be posting a small guide soon, I’m getting packaging for retail finished up this week, so expect that as well.
Received mine! Great tool, more than worth the wait. Thank you!
Received mine today!!!!!
Has my reward been shipped? I never got it, and no tracking info
I picked up my perk this past friday, its awesome, thank you very much and salutations from a small tow in the north of México!!!
I purchased a Cyclist Card for my girlfriend, but have no idea explaining everything on the tool. Can you please send out a description and diagram of all the tools?
Thank you for the update.
Hi Aryeh! You have very good timing, everything literally just finished being blasted today. It's shipping tomorrow to be etched, then out to you! Should be about 7-14 days, I'm of course going to get them out as quick as I can, I'm dying to ship them.
How is the heat treatment process going?
This is painful. Patience has limits. Blind faith may not. Why must backers beg for an update (unless this is fraudulent)?
Your welcome. I'm sorry I haven't posted a full on update in a while, but I didn't want to reiterate what has already been said.
I'm just glad to see that the wait (while arduous) is worth it for quality of product.
Despite the delays, our manufacturers do really solid work and we appreciate them. We would not be where we are at without them, and it's a long standing relationship that we very much enjoy.
Soon to see manufactured product!
I'm sorry to say I don't think they will be, at least in time for shipping and arriving by X-mas. The great news is though that I just inspected the final iteration of parts two days ago, and I'm happy to say they passed inspection with a couple minor tweaks that are easily done.
So work is officially being done on them. False starts aside, a lot were scrapped because of mistakes made, but it means we'll be getting the best product possible.
So not in time for the holiday sorry to say, but will most likely be ready around that time.
Thanks for commenting and keeping the faith, I've got you in mind, I always deliver on my promises, this is no different.
Hi, what's the likelihood of these arriving in time for the holidays?
I have unfortunately got 5 Kickstarters all as gifts for the same person and at the moment delays have meant I'm unlikely to get any in time. Delays are fine and it is what it is, but just want to know so I can plan soon what to get him instead! Cheers
Promise guys, that the project is moving along, I didn't want to do another pointless update with nothing new to show : /
Auxiliary handles should be ready tomorrow.
Looking forward to showing you parts ; ), hang in there.
Hi @Aryeh, very soon! Aux handles should be ready tomorrow!
Is an update available?
You are more than six months past your promised delivery date. Do you still think you are on track and the backers should not worry? You need to update your backers with details, specific dates and truth.
Hey guys, So whats going on? I'm going to need an update or I will request my money back (from my credit card company) for my pledge.
Cut the bullshit. Take a photo of something - anything - to prove anything has or will happen.
And it’s now October... and?
Still waiting for you to follow through on anything you promised. Come on. It is time for another (repetitive) excuse. Yes, as before, you can repeat the same stories as if they are new. Don't like my tone or attitude? Step up and treat this as a business, not a charity. Details, dates and truth. I am still waiting.
Your "update" provides no information, only a vague apology. While I am sympathetic about your health, you need to explain where production stands. You are not personally fabricating the card, and previous updates indicated that production had begun. We are looking at less than 1000 units of a small card. So what is the real issue?
These projects depend on the confidence of the backers, and confidence depends on communication (and ultimately performance). At this point, I am concerned. And you are losing my confidence. Tell the truth. We (including you) will all feel better.
It is time for a substantive update. Yes,we know there were mistakes in production, but that should be behind you now, so what is your current schedule? Also, you volunteered photos.
Cool. Thanks for the quick update.
Sorry not much as of yet : /. I will say our machinist did have a flub happen the other week: he ran a lot of cards without checking in with our main overseer, and messed up a lot of material unfortunately: they were just out of tolerance, they weren't even shown to me because our overseer knew how badly out of shape they were. But there are new pieces laser cut out, and I should be seeing the first pieces in the next week to inspect. I will take photo's of these and show you, I promise ; )
Stay safe, and thanks for checking in!
Any new update?
Hey, Thanks everyone for being such great backers. @Christine Thank you very much btw
Yeah it's just how it goes. The way we are set up is that our products have to go through a lot of people to get a finished product as we don't have any machines in house; getting through the process the first time is always the roughest, as we are dialing it in to get exactly what we need. A full run of EDC Cards can be completed in as little as 6 weeks at this point!
@Fede Very sorry that we disappointed you : (, I wanted to have these all ready well before Summer was in full effect. I'm going to write another small update so you can get a more complete picture on our progress.
Backer number 132, Milan Italy - no bag, no track info yet.
Several request.... could you update me, please?
I had planned to use for travelling this summer!!!
Appreciate the update and the honesty. Look forward to receiving my pledge. Heads up, things happen, were all human.
Bummer... But I appreciate the update. :)
Thanks for the latest update. Yes I can vouch that things don;t always go to plan and delays happen. We've had some challenges through our campaign also. The main thing is that communication happens and that everyone get the product in the end. Keep at it.
@creator - Thanks for the update. Best of luck with the injury.
Hey guys, how's it going?
@Robert thank you so much! We're very excited! I will be posting an update later today on the next steps!
Thank you everybody!
Yay! Congrats backers and CHA / O / HA Design Co.!
@ Robert - Hi Robert, I don't see why not, message me and we can chat some more about that.
Is it possible to have custom names laser-etched on the card along with the logos and measurements?
Any chance a special edition with an Italian flag would be an option? Love my Bianchi! :)
@Philip Pang: Hi Philip, we decided to not include 1/4" bits as a reward pledge because there are so many different hardware setups for bikes, especially along the line of vintage bikes.
How can we add the pledge to include the 1/4" bits?
Thanks Robbie! We thrive on customers like yourself : ) your contribution is valued very much!
I actually tried to file down a piece from a defective slim card on a hard surface, (concrete) and it practically destroyed the surface, it took about 10 minutes of solid filing to take the little edge I was filing off. Great material, super strong agreed! Great lateral strength abilities.
Tease ;) Ok, backed the SE, will cross my fingers for a slim option. Was actually talking about buying a backup slim only yesterday so would be great to get V2.
For anyone debating backing - get it, even the 1.6mm V1 is unbelievably strong, I've split decent sized bits of wood with it. Even without the tools it's just really handy to have a super strong lever / pry bar in your wallet.
Also, get the special edition - the coating is indestructible as far as I can tell.
Hey Robbie! Good to see you again! Yeah I gather it we reach a nice goal like $25,000 we would bring back the slim. If we hit something major like $50,000 you could look for a magnetized handle possibly...
Hi - any plans for a slim edition this time?
