Scott - Thanks for the comment. I've had a few people ask for a mesh insert of some sort to prevent the fire starter from falling through the holes in the fire grate. I've done a lot of testing with the Nano and haven't ever had my fire starter fall through the bottom, but I can see how it could be a problem if the fire starter is small enough. I know there are some granular fire starter products on the market that would not work without some kind of mess bottom. I'm looking into what it would take to do this and will post an update once I have more info. Thanks again for the comment.

Mac - Thanks for the comment. I've tried to keep the feet as long as necessary but as short as possible to keep the weight down. Hopefully I'll get some good feedback as these go out into the market. If the feet length proves to be an issue I'll definitely make an adjustment. Thanks again for the suggestion.

Mark - Great idea. I've actually had exactly the same thought (great minds think alike!). I've arrange for a local company to make a couple of prototype carrying cases out of the carbon felt material and am testing them now. They are really cool! Stay tuned for an update.

Stanley - Thanks for the comment. I'm working on a Titanium version of the Nano and hope to post an update soon.

      Hi Steve:

Could you please add a mesh plate for the inner bottom of the small units? This shouldn't cost too much and it should be easy to produce (make square meshes that fit the interior).

This way, if you have a "smaller" firestarter item (like leaves/brush) it won't fall through the holes on the bottom of the firebox nanos!

      Please consider this!

      Thanks!

Extended feet for even more stability. They slip on the current feet and look like a ducks foot.

      Just a suggestion. ;)

I'm really looking forward to receiving my firebox nano. One little thought, I know it's all a compromise but to help protect the pot supports whilst carrying how about a small sleeve/envelope to keep it in? If this was made out of the carbon sheet you could stand the nano on it whilst using it as well!!! Good luck!

I'm very interested in a titanium version of both stoves. I've been following your prototype testing of a titanium version of the full size folding firebox also. CHEERS!
