Flush Fatale is a deck of cards illustrated entirely by women, featuring 54 women from history. The main goal of Flush Fatale is to create a woman-centered project that pays each and every artist for her time and energy while highlighting notable women from history.
Each of the playing cards will be illustrated once the Kickstarter is funded to ensure that the artists will be properly compensated. No funding means no art and no card decks. Simple as that.
When Flush Fatale held a call for artists we received over 3250 submissions from talented women across the world. We had the difficult task of narrowing down the selection to 54 world-class women artists.
Each artist will begin to create their work once the Kickstarter goal has been reached. They will be given one month to complete their illustration before the deck of cards goes to print. Once the women were chosen, each was asked to choose a historical woman from history that they wish to illustrate once the Kickstarter is funded.

Flush Fatale highlights 54 influential women from history. Spanning women of countless eras and professions, the deck of cards shows the importance of women throughout the ages and tells their stories via stunning full-color illustrations.

Each artist was randomly assigned one of the cards numbers and suits in the playing deck. Depending on the suit, the artists have also been given a color scheme that will unify the deck.
The CardsThe cards are being printed on 300 gsm Blue Core Poker quality paper. We ordered countless cards to make sure we had the best quality and thickness of card stock for Flush Fatale.
The Tuck Box
The Tuck Box is a 10pt. Coated 1-Side Cardstock with a gloss varnish. If we reach our first Stretch Goal, the Tuck Box will include Metallic Foil on specific areas of the box.
The Backs and Box Art
The back of the Cards and the Tuck Box will be illustrated by Natalie Dombois; one of the artists in Flush Fatale. The typography on the Tuck Box as well as each of the historical women names on the card will be hand-lettered by Nina Sengsavang.
The Art Prints
The Art Prints are museum-quality and made on thick, durable, matte paper. The prints are either 8"x 10" or 18" x 24". Once all of the art has been created, you will be given the chance to choose which piece you wish to have printed.
The Booklet
Along with each deck of cards, you will receive a digital PDF booklet that will include all 54 pieces of art, a biography of each woman from history, information about each of the artists, and the names of the patrons from the Kickstarter. See below for an example of the booklet pages.

If the Kickstarter is a wild sucsess, we have planned several Stretch Goals to make Flush Fatale even more amazing! Any additional funds raised that are above and beyond the additional shipping and printing costs will be split evenly between all of the artists.
$60,000 (LOCKED!) - METALLIC FOIL UPGRADE FOR ALL DECKS
If we reach $60,000, all decks of cards will include metallic foil stamping on the card tuck-box as well as specific text and areas of each playing card. Foil stamping uses a heated die to transfer metallic foil onto select areas. Metallic Foil will be included in each and every deck at no additional cost if we hit $60,000.

Risques et défis
We have done everything we can to make sure our project goes off smoothly. The artists have all been given a template for their art, and have confirmed their participation. If any of the artists drop out of Flush Fatale for any reason, we have a list of backup artists who are eager to fill the missing places. The artists will have one month after the Kickstarter closes to illustrate their work before the cards go to print.
We will be printing all of the cards and tuck boxes through PrintNinja; a large printing company who we are confident will make a fantastic deck of cards! Printing takes 6-8 weeks. From there, the cards will be sent to our shipping fulfillment company.
When it comes time for shipping, we are partnering with Black Box; the shipping company developed by the makers of Cards Against Humanity. They focus especially on Kickstarter Shipping Fulfillment, so we are confident you will receive your cards quickly and in perfect condition.
