Wow! Under a week and Legacy: Gears of Time is just a hair away from being fully funded! Thank you so much!

As promised, here's a pdf of the rule book:

Legacy: Gears of Time rule book (v1.02)

It's still certainly going to change (adding picture examples and clarifications), but at least this way you can get a good idea for how the game works in detail. If you have any questions or recommendations, please don't hesitate to send a message!

Thank you again, so much! I can't wait to see how quickly we can reach the stretch goal of $7000; let's get you fine people the mini-expansion (it'll be shockingly great)!

@Sebastian I updated the rulebook to have a lighter background, it was certainly hard to read. Visual examples are coming, I'll send an update when they do!

Great stuff! It would help to also provide examples of turns, like how to resolve having failed technologies or who has the most influence.

I know I'm nitpicking, but it would help reading to have the rule book's text over a white background.

      Yeah! Thank you, everyone!

Boo-yah! Now the project is 100%+ funded! Congrats!

Good question! Those are simply a reminder of the reward for the dependencies. If they stay through the final design, I plan to put a little crown icon next to them to make this more clear. It seems to make it a little simpler for divvying out points at the end of a round (if you already remember who has "fire", for example, then you dont need to look for it previously in the timeline).

There will also likely be a "anatomy of a card" area of the rules, as they sort-of vaguely refer to gear and crown symbols, not yet pointing them out.

Question about the rules. I looked, but didn't find anything defining the numbers in the dependency section of the tech cards. Such as Combustion Engine from update two: "The Wheel 2, Fire 2". What does "2" mean in this context? My only guess is that this is the minimum number of influence cubes required on the prerequist tech. Am I close?
