Hey Ben, Your key should be available in your Flippfly Account. If you need to login and don't know / remember your password, you can go here: http://flippfly.com/my-account/ and hit "Forgot Password". Then enter the email you use for Kickstarter and hit "Send Password Info". That should send you an email with a link to login.
If you can't login or have any other trouble feel free to create a ticket here: http://flippfly.freshdesk.com/ and I'll be happy to help!
If we haven't gotten our Steam keys yet, is something wrong? Congrats on getting onto Steam, btw!
Yeah, just got it now!
Thanks a lot! Excellent game and I wish you guys further success.
Thanks Colonel Skills!
Yep all backers will be getting Steam keys. We are actually trying to coax our server into spitting those out as we speak ;)
If all goes well you will be seeing them soon! Thanks for everything!
Awesome work getting on Steam! Congrats, and I hope it brings you more sales.
Will backers get Steam keys?
Awesome news today in backers inboxes!~Check it!
I'm Sorry if we haven't done a good job of keeping you up-to-date :( We've sent out some e-mail updates since the 0.40 announcement, but maybe we should have done more on Kickstarter... You are totally right about our plans to be at 1.0 on June. We obviously didn't quite make it (I guess I am worse at timeline prediction than I thought ) but we have made solid progress. I will make sure to do a Kickstarter update soon with detailed info, but here's quick synopsis of where we are at:
We have been beta-testing the World Creator (as well as the in-game sharing mechanism) for a few weeks and it is going well. That puts us at 0.50 and the only major feature that needs to get beta-tested is the portals. There are still a lot of smaller things that need to get in the game, so we have brought in a friend (a very talented programmer) to help speed things up. He is helping us get all 25 levels and player upgrades ready to go. Once that and the portals are done the single-player experience will be complete.
We are basically trying to release everything that we can as it gets finished - and I really want to thank you for your patience! If you have any concerns or just want to check-in feel free to post here or e-mail me: email@example.com. You can also follow news, bug reports etc. on our forums: http://flippfly.com/forum/
I hate to be That Guy, but you guys said you were releasing in June, for definite. It is now July, and you haven't really done an update since 0.40, so... What exactly is going on? Whats the hold up?
Hey James, Sorry about that :\
We have a system to reset passwords that should get things working for you. The process is to follow this link: http://flippfly.com/my-account/
Then hit "Forgot Password" and enter the same email that you use for your Kickstrarter account. That should resend the registration e-mail and let you setup the account.
If you (or anybody really) has any trouble please feel free to contact us. We will do whatever it takes to get things working for you.
I was reading the updates and it said that all backers got a temporary flipfly account and don't think I ever got the email. Any help you'll be nice :)

Ideas and brainstorming!
- New POWER: Sand clock. What does: it stops the sun from going down for about 30 seconds.
- New POWER: Brake. It give you the change to slow down the ship for 3-4 seconds, so you can avoid crashing with objects.
- New Score idea: Grabbing another item power that you already had (like another jump) it gives you 3 Tris score (so you will keep on item hunting taking risking maneuvers)
- New Score idea: Red Tris. They are pretty hidden in the most dangerous places and are equal to 5 Tris. Rare item.
- New MODE: Practice mode. Easy select a few already discovered "traps" like tunnels and made infinite stages with just those items, so you can master them.
Just played the beta, great work guys!
me too man :) Btw, in the game there should be like a "near-miss" meter when you fill it, you get like a bonus or something and like perhaps some sort of speedometer/sun dial so you can tell a little better how the "day" is going.
Oh man, I'm so glad it got funded, this is the one game that deserves it the most, great (re)work Flippfly and thanks everyone pledging! :-D
Everyone!!! UPVOTE Greenlight Reddit Page! http://www.reddit.com/r/greenlightquality/comments/19vx6x/race_the_sun_funded_now_for_greenlighting/
@venuse8102 thanks bro :) I think everyone worked together so well...it's blowing my mind lol i can only imagine what Flippfly is feeling. Backflips I'm assuming loll.
@Flippfly yeah man, definitely get a REALLY colorful thumbnail up on there. Personally, I think you should just go with the same illustration and not change it. For those who've seen this and backed, they'll instantly recognize it, and those who've seen it and not backed, they'll still instantly recognize it, then be like, "ohh, wow, they made it, i remember that pic on kickstarter/online."
TL;DR: Please use the same illustrated image at least for the primary thumbnail.
Dang! I try again:
Congratulations to everybody (specially to Aaron and Forest)!
I've written a brief article on GamingOnLinux about the success: http://www.gamingonlinux.com/articles/race-the-sun-successfully-funded.1818
It has also been registered on that site's crowdfunding wiki: http://www.gamingonlinux.com/crowdfunding/index.php5…
I've written a brief article on about this success (apart from registering it on that site's [http://www.gamingonlinux.com/crowdfunding/index.php5… wiki, of course).
Oh man, I went to bed after chucking in my ten bucks, figuring this was something that deserved the punt... so very glad to see it funded by morning, with cash to spare!
woot congrats flippfly and man finallyanime you rock.
Wow finallyanime - sounds like you had a busy night - thank you!!! And thanks to the guys over at Pixelscopic for the comment last night - and thanks to all of you amazing backers!!!
Oh yeah, I almost forgot we've got a Greenlight page: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/…
It is definitely in-need of some love though (lots of old screen-shots etc.) so we'll have to get that spruced up over the next couple days.
Look so forward to play w/ my epic community :) if this drops on steam, which i hope it does (DO A GREENLIGHT & Email all KickStarter backers for easy support lol), message me for my steam name.
Lol I think it's probably the best time to try greenlight
Yeah man....I'm like dead right now cuz I stayed up all night trying to stead the word everywhere I could w/out being banned lol. Only of my sociak networks almost did, but i didnt give a f*** lol. Guildwars forums, skullheart forum (they were REALLLY cool, props to them for real), reddit...omfg I'm so SOOO glad I just submitted that second Reddit. 27 upvotes! Also shout out to Delver's Drop!!! They put up a HUGE comment asking for people to back race the sun after a last ditch message I sent them. So cool...
And just so everyone knows, from now on, post KickStarter reddits on indiegaming. The KickStarter reddit doesn't really take game stuff well ironically.
Wow guys I'm glad we got such a passionate community already. I tried the HARDEST I could & you guys did the same. Hey Flippfly, I'm glad your KickStarter experience wasn't wasted. I still feel there were a couple factors that hurt the crowd funding aspect, but I think in the end the passion for the game shone through well enough that we took notice.
(Long) P.S. guess what made me first REALLY take notice? The colorful updated thumbnail! Next time, whether greenlight, steamstore, or whatever, use a visually enticing thumbnail. I think the first one w/the grey & red threw people off. But it's all good we're here now! GRATz guys! Im super honored to have such cool Devs & I wouldn't wanna play online w/anyone else
I went to Allison Salmon's talk downtown Madison and she helped spread the word to UW Madison students. I was spreading the word too. Congratulations! - Troy
I honestly didn't expect that to happen. Grats all around and I can't wait for the game!
Many congrats Flippfly!! Praises to God for this confirmation of your gifts!! Race the Sun is fantastic!
Congratulations guys! This is fantastic! I'd lost hope a little bit so I'm glad to be proven so wrong. :)
I am simply blown-away! You people are amazing!
Checkout the curve at the end:
We did it!
It looks as if OUYA development could be in the works in the very near future! Check out this tweet! https://twitter.com/JoshBurkhead/status/309672886833123328

Official congratulations to you guys at Flippfly now! Good luck with the game now!

It is done :)
Ah almost 21.5 k :D 12$ More :D
Yet another campaign saved at the very last hour. Yet another proof that it is worth not giving up until it is really over. :)
Can't wait to see how far Race the Sun will go. ^^
YES! You guys made it! Oh man I'm so happy for you guys and I can't wait to see this game develop into one of my most favorite games ever! Just remember: OUYA and Race the Sun would go perfectly together!
Proud to be a backer - this game looks hypnotic and beautiful
Aww yiss! Glad to see everything worked out :)
Congratulations Devs :)
OH HELL YEAH.... (just got back from work in time it seems)
I agree to Josh Burkhead... an OUYA port would be so nice. ;)
YES!! I can't wait to play it in the future. If there's any possible way to port this game to OUYA I'd be so grateful. Good luck in the future and I'm so glad to be supporting this awesome project.
Yaaaaaay you made it! =)
