Your planet is becoming overpopulated. Precious resources are dwindling and it's only a matter of time before the world is plunged into the final agonizing throes of total extinction. Top tech corporations from around the globe have been both working together as well as racing to be the first to send manned expeditions into the galaxy to find new planets upon which to settle in a global project called the Solarius Mission.
The objective - build space stations, find new worlds from which to gather resources or on which to establish colonies, and ultimately save your race from destruction. You are the captain of one of these expeditionary forces. It's up to you to eXplore, eXpand and eXploit the planets you find in neighboring solar systems. But you only have a short amount of time in which to do this. Equip your ships with more powerful engines, gather the resources needed to accomplish your objectives, and become the hero of Solarius Mission.
Designed by MiKe & ode., Solarius Mission is a game for 2-4 players lasting between 90 and 120 minutes. While exploring the far reaches of the galaxy, players will compete to settle planets and gather valuable resources in order to go deeper into space and fulfill missions. The player who best manages time and resources will be the ultimate winner.
To start, players choose one Action die from the "Bridge". These dice tell you how many actions you may take on your turn. But be careful, if you take too many actions at one time, you will acculumate Space Junk. Too much space junk and you will receive negative points at the end of the game.
Players then perform actions based upon the pip count and color of the selected Action die, or, if they chose a die with a starburst, the number of pips on the appropriate Resource die on their player board.
After this, players may perform one more action involving flying through space and discovering planets, building space stations or outposts, or instead of flying through space, taking the time to upgrade their ship's drive, and more.
After the player performs their final action, they draw a die from the bag, the arm on the Bridge moves one space to the right, and the new die is placed immediately to the left of the arm.
It's now the next player's turn.
A game of Solarius Mission lasts 4 rounds with each player having 4 turns per round.
There are a number of new and upgraded elements in the game. Here's a list of what you will get:

We fully support the Friendly Local Game Stores (FLGSs) around the world - which is why our company's name has the same initials!
We are excited to offer our Retail Pledge to our Brick and Mortar stores located in the US, Canada, and Brazil. Retailers located outside of these areas are encouraged to look into drop-ship options that will allow them to take advantage of this offer.
The Retailer Pledge Tier of $65.00 is a deposit that will be applied towards your final purchase of case quantities of Solarius Mission. Case count will be 4 - 6 units (TBD), and will include everything in this campaign. Please contact us for your total cost for the games. A pledge manager will be used to collect any amount above your deposit prior to shipping, and the cost of shipping will also be determined in the pledge manager.
There will be a Retailer purchase limit of 4 cases, and games purchased using the Retailer Pledge Level will be sent out at the same time as the other rewards.
Verification of Retailer Eligibility will take place prior to rewards fulfillment.
Flying Lemur Game Studio (FLGS) was created by two industry veterans, Michael 'Mischa' Harris and Rick Schrand. Their first game, North American Railways, was licensed through Spielworxx and has almost sold out its initial print run. Our mission is to bring the best games from around the world to the English language market, and we feel we are well on track to keep that promise.

We are dedicated to being totally transparent throughout the course of this campaign. As such, we will provide updates every 72 business hours for the first two weeks of the campaign, and then weekly updates for the last two weeks. We don't want to fill your inbox with an unwanted flood of messages, so we will provide updates at least every two weeks after the close of the campaign, more if we feel they are warranted.
We will monitor the Comments section every work day during normal business hours (8:30am - 5:00pm US Central time) and throughout the weekends. Our goal is to respond to any and all comments within a couple of hours or less.
After the campaign has concluded, the comments page will continue to be monitored on a regular basis, but with less frequency than before. Any questions posted will be answered when they are seen. Updates will be sent whenever new, pertinent information about the campaign can be relayed to backers. If 30 days go by without new, pertinent information, a quick "all is well" update will be posted to maintain communication with you, our backers.
After the games have been sent to you and fulfillment has been completed, we will consider the campaign to be concluded. Any further communication would need to go through our normal support channels.
Risks and challenges
This is Flying Lemur's first Kickstarter. It is our goal to be fully transparent and produce the best game possible.
As individuals, however, this is not our first rodeo. We have been involved in over 30 successful Kickstarter campaigns as we have worked with other publishers over the past number of years. So we are not new to the process and you can feel comfortable in knowing we are knowledgeable in what it takes to bring a game from concept to reality.
However, nothing comes without risks. Delayed print runs; games held at port for an inordinate amount of time; even weather on the high seas. We promise to keep you fully aware of everything that transpires from now through the last fulfillment so you are not left out of the loop.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
