First Legion 75mm Fantasy "Femmes Fatales" Resin Figure Kits
A new series of provocative 75mm Fantasy Resin Figure Kits, each one beautifully sculpted and cast and a joy to paint.
Who We Are
First Legion has long been a leading producer of 60mm scale superbly hand painted historical metal and resin figures as well as metal and resin figures kits in various scales. We most recently expanded into 28mm Fantasy miniatures with a huge launch of amazing sculpts that will be coming to retail early next year. Please visit our websites and social media for more information.
The theme of the series is "Femmes Fatales", beautiful but dangerous women characters. Whether by force, guile, or seduction these ladies are not to be fussed with. There are 7 figures in total, each one more beautiful than the next and ranging in style from Gothic, to far eastern, nomadic, northern, and even an Aztec. The commonality to them is that they are all stunning models of beautiful, dangerous women.
Those of you who followed our 28mm Fantasy Minis Kickstarter will recognize these figures from the "Femmes Fatales" Core Set. They were originally sculpted in 75mm scale and reduced in scale to 28mm to be included in that KS as part of our 28mm fantasy series. We present them here as originally conceived.
Unlike our 28mm KS, which had 170+ models, this KS is purposely very simple and very succinct. Stunning models at great prices with rewards shipping in just 3 months!
The first 5 Figures listed below are tied to pledge levels with selections to be made in our pledge manager following funding. The higher the pledge level, but better deal it is on each figure.
Early Bird Pledge Levels are open for the first 27 hours.
The last two are available as an add-ons only, or as part of the "Drop Dead Gorgeous" Pledge Level. Finally, there are three more that will be optional add-ons tied to stretch goals.
Resin Figure Kits
All miniatures are produced in high quality resin and provided unpainted and unassembled.
The figures below contain some nudity and are not suitable for audiences under 18.
If you are offended by such figures, please stop reading and just move on. They are purposely designed to be risqué, sexy, dangerous, and above all beautiful.
An Aztec (or Inca if you prefer!) Priestess seated on a plinth or altar with a bird landing on her hand and a knife laying by her side. It's difficult to read her intentions. Who is the knife is for? The bird? Perhaps someone else....
This wonderful figure was inspired by concept art by David Dunstan (aka "loopydave"). His original concept was a bit lighter in terms of the mood while our figure is a bit darker and mysterious, more in line with the overall mood of the series. You can view more of his wonderful artwork at his Deviant Art Page.
This female warrior is armed to the teeth with a spear in her left hand, a short sword in her right, and a long sword hanging across her back. She has elements of plate mail and leather armor and her cloak is flowing in the wind. Her foot stands atop the fallen head of a monster she's slain. Beautiful and dangerous indeed!
The Savage Female Warrior is more of a tribal/nomadic warrior without the heavier armor elements of FL7509. Her dress is primarily cloth and bone and she kneels atop a pile of skulls. She comes with an optional bone face mask. Beautiful, wild, and savage!
This stunning eastern woman, imagined as a Geisha, has a dragon wrapped around her and an umbrella to provide her some shade. Guile may be her may weapon, but there's also a dagger tucked into her sash, just in case. Her long flowing robes provide a wonderful canvas for some really advanced painting patterns as shown on our painted figure below. This model is certainly among the most highly anticipated of all of those in the KS judging by the number of requests we've had for it since first showing it.
This female barbarian (or Viking/Norse) figure is stunningly beautiful and equally dangerous. Armed with both an axe and a sword, she yells her battle cry raising her axe towards Valhalla. It is obviously summer time in the North. ;-)
NOTE: The image above of the Painted Female Barbarian is actually a 28mm figure because we don't yet have a painted sample of this figure in 75mm. If it looks this amazing in 28mm, just imagine what you can do with it in 75mm!
Because of the significant price difference between these two figures and the other figures in the KS, the following two models are not part of any pledge level (except "Drop Dead Gorgeous") but are ONLY available as an add-ons. If you want ONLY one or both of these models and no others, you should select "The Add-Ons Only Pledge Level" and then you can pick it up in the Pledge Manager. Otherwise, these models can also be added to any pledge level.
There are two ways to add one or both of these models:
- You can either increase your pledge amount above that of your Pledge Level by the stated cost of the add-on(s) or
- You can add them in the Pledge Manager after funding and pay for them there instead at the same time as you pay for shipping.
This stunning 3d Model was the very first one we ever did. A female warrior with her foot at rest on the skull of a dragon peers off into the distance. Please note that while this KS only has resin kits on it, if you are interested in purchasing a fully painted version of this figure, it's currently in stock shipping next business day and can be found on our website.
The Future Prince of Darkness set depicts baby demon/devil seated on his mother's lap (yes, he's flippin' you off!) while she partakes in a glass of....wine...or something more sinister? She is seated on an incredibly ornate throne, full of wonderful detail, and topped off by a gargoyle on the back of the throne. The gargoyle has been cleverly sculpted such that it can be painted as a stone part of the throne itself or as a live gargoyle resting on the chair. Our painted figure sample below shows this quite well - with the front of the Gargoyle painted as if alive and the back of it painted as if it's a stone part of the chair. This is truly an amazing Gothic style miniature.
These figures will be unlocked if the KS Funding reaches the milestones below and will be available as add-ons in the pledge manager. If they are unlocked, you can add them to your pledge amount here in Kickstarter or use our Pledge Manager after funding to add them.
FL7514 is the lone male figure that is part of this Kickstarter. It features The Vampire King raising his skull goblet toasting in celebration. This figure is great on it's own, but also complements FL7513 The Future Prince of Darkness in a multi-figure display.
FL7515 adds a Female Vampire Princess. Again, this figure will work great on it's own as an individual piece or used in conjunction with FL7513 and/or FL7514 in a multifigure display.
Concept Art Note
As we stated in our last Kickstarter, our concept art is meant to give our 3d Modeler the general composition and pose of a figure. Invariably, the final 3d Model is superior to the concept art that spawns it. The same modeler who created all of the other Femmes Fatales figures will also create this figure to the same stunning standard. Please see our 28mm Fantasy Kickstarter or our First Legion Fantasy website for more information about this and many examples of concept art translated to final models.
Here is an example of how our concept art translates to a 3d Model and subsequent finished figure:
Figure Scale Note
While 75mm is a very popular scale for figures kits with leading makers such as Pegaso and many others producing in this scale, we recognize that some of you may be unfamiliar with it. The image below shows a 32mm figure, 60mm figure, and 75mm figure next to each other for your reference.
Following the close of funding, we will use a Pledge Manager for you to make your selections, pay for shipping, add any add-ons that you would like, as well as confirm your shipping address for your rewards. Because we want to get to production as quickly as possible, we would like all surveys to be completed within 14 days of the Pledge Manager going live. We will most likely use BackerKit as our Pledge Manager. Surveys will be sent out immediately after Kickstarter charges pledges, which is typically 14 days after the close of funding.
In the pledge manager, all figures will be available as add-ons. However, the most economical way to get the figures, particularly the ones that are tied to pledge levels, is to back the KS at the right level for sets FL7508-FL7512 which are tied to pledge levels.
If you add these figures only as add-ons and not through a pledge level, their add-on price will be as follows regardless of pledge level:
FL7508 Aztec Priestess with Bird - $48
FL7509 Female Warrior - $45
FL7510 Savage Female - $45
FL7511 Geisha with Dragon - $48
FL7512 Female Barbarian - $45
All other codes not specifically listed above will have the same add-on price whether you add them here or add them in the pledge manager as the other figures are not tied to pledge levels.
We'd like to issue a big thank you to all of the incredibly talented people who worked on the project. From our concept artist, the incredible 3d Modeler, and master painters, all of whom are talented beyond belief. Also thanks to the First Legion staff in Russia, the USA, and Asia!
Please Read Completely and Carefully!
We will be charging shipping after the Kickstarter concludes, based on the actual costs incurred to pack and ship your rewards. So your pledge amount does not/should not include shipping costs, these will be charged later. We will collect this via our pledge manager after the campaign ends, using either PayPal or your Credit Card at our sole discretion. We feel that this approach is the most fair to all backers rather than just having flat rate shipping where some backers will overpay and some will underpay for shipping.
Please note that for this Kickstarter, all shipments will be sent from our main fulfillment center in the USA and shipping charges will be based on sending from the USA. At our sole discretion, some rewards for backers in certain countries may ship from our Manufacturing location by drop shipment.
Following is a list of estimates for shipping, please note that these are only estimates and include order processing costs. These estimates do not include any VAT or Customs TAX. You may have to pay import or other taxes depending on the laws of your country. You are solely responsible for these charges.
- USA: $15 to most states. $25 to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.
- CANADA: $25 to most cities.
- REST OF WORLD: *$30-$35
* Possibly higher if you get all figures and/or parcel weight exceed 4lbs, which is the weight limit for USPS First Class Mail
Please note that we cannot possibly know and/or understand the various laws and regulations of every country in the world. You are solely responsible to understand if it is legal for you to import these products to your country. If any rewards are returned to us due to failure to pay such taxes or rejected by the recipient for any reason, we will ship them to you again, but you will have to pay the shipping costs again.
Refunds may be given within 14 days of the campaign ending, including fees. After that time, refunds may be given minus the Kickstarter and payment processing fees (~11%) for up to 14 additional days (until the Pledge Manager Closes). No refunds will not be given after this total 1 Month period following the end of the KS as production will already be in process. Refunds within 14 days are reversed via Stripe to your credit card via Kickstarter. All refunds after the 14 days close of the campaign may be processed via PayPal or reversed via Stripe to your credit card at our sole discretion less fees.
This is a USD Kickstarter and pledges/and or refunds will be processed in USD only for the amount received, excluding any applicable fees dependent on the day on which the refund is processed as detailed above.
Risks and challenges
While this is only our second Kickstarter we are not a new company having produced and sold hundreds of thousands of 60mm fully hand painted figures over the past 12 years. As such we have a tremendous level of experience in product manufacturing both for Resin figure kits as well as for far more complex products such as our 60mm fully hand painted historical figures. That being said, the maxim of "what can go wrong, will go wrong" is never far from mind and we are well aware that delays can happen that are simply unavoidable because of a wide range of issues from customs, to human error, to act of God, etc.
We have estimated the delivery for November 2019. With the exception of two of the stretch goal figures, the figures are modeled and molds are already being prepared at the production facility. We are confident we can meet this target, possibly earlier for some of you depending on your reward selection. But it is not a 100% guarantee. ;-)
Terms and Conditions
If you do not confirm your shipping and pledge details within 2 weeks of our notification via email to confirm them in our pledge manager, your pledge will be treated as abandoned and any pledge amounts will be retained as donations to the project. We will, however, look at each case sympathetically and try our best to satisfy each backer.
By pledging on this Kickstarter you agree that our responsibility to you is for shipping your rewards as entered into the pledge management system. You are responsible for import or other duties that may be payable to relevant tax authorities. You also accept that you are fully liable for incorrect shipping details and will risk your rewards being unable to be delivered or lost in transit.
If you do not accept the proposed terms please do not pledge on this Kickstarter project and wait for the general release. Entering a pledge is considered acceptance of these terms and conditions.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
