The Issue Two Kickstarter ends tomorrow

Just a quick note: If you're interested in getting in on Issue Two, the Kickstarter has about 39 hours left in it. There are still plenty of nice rewards left. Thanks!

A Father's Day gift reward idea

Hey everyone. We know we just sent an Issue Two update yesterday, but we have a special reward offer from Issue Two contributor Jake Kerr that we wanted to make sure you saw.

The $100 reward to have a character named after you in his story is still available. Jake has already written and turned in his story, and it focuses on a father and son. So if someone pledges $150 for this reward, Jake will name the characters after you and your dad (or you and your son). We'll also e-mail you a copy of the story immediately after the Kickstarter closes on June 13 so you will have a copy to give on Father's Day, June 17.

If you're interested in this, you can pledge here.

(I love this idea because my mom surprised my dad by getting his name and likeness in the Issue One comic, and he got a big kick out of it, even though he got killed by a yeti-worshiping snow ninja.)

Thanks again!

Big start for Issue Two & Beyond

The Kickstarter for the next issues of Fireside is off to a fantastic start. A lot of that is due to you guys, the backers of the first issue, so thanks so much for coming back for another round!

After three days, we've raised $1,954, almost a third of the $6,000 we need for Issue Two and 17% of what we need add Issue Three. We are so happy that people are interested in seeing more.

We still have a lot of good premium rewards available. All the slots to have your likeness in the comic have sold, but there are still two of the six slots to be drawn into an illustration by Galen Dara, our cover artist. The spots to have your name used for a character have sold for Stephen Blackmoore and Damien Walters Grintalis, but they are still open for Kat Howard and Jake Kerr, and all four slots to have your name mentioned in a story are open. There are also still four pieces of original art by Galen and comic artist Steve Walker, and copies of the story manuscripts.

Thanks again so much!
