Hello all!

Here is a sneak peak inside our rule book. These are randomly selected pages from different sections of the book. We are still on track to start shipping kickstarter orders in December and we will be launching our official website and taking pre orders for the game in the next few weeks...enjoy!

I would agree with sticking to the parchment style. We all stare at white computer screens all day for word/excel/adobe/etc so thematic variety in our books is nice.

I think lightening it up a little bit is enough. Your are correct, that it is harder to read if the parchment has more contrast or is darker, but this looks fine to me. What I dislike to be true is the mirroring of the background, so the right page and left page have the same patina and the same waving.

As cool as the parchment style looks I'd have to agree.
Anything that would make the text easier to read would be better.
The spots on those pages are particularly nasty so it probably would be better if those were limited to places without text.

Recommendation: the parchment background always looks cool, but inevitably black text on it is eyeball murder. Could you consider putting blocks behind the text, or lightening the area behind the text, or ditching the parchment background entirely? Anything to make the text more readable would be very welcome.
