We want to make the world a little bit happier. We think life's far too short to not be really happy and content. That's why we've created this engaging and innovative program. The Happiness Initiative is a book, journal, notepad and an all encompassing blueprint to empower you to take greater control of your health, happiness and well-being. You can learn the tools to flourish and live full and vibrant lives!
We are so passionate about spreading the skills of happiness that for every book that is purchased, we will give one to a 16 year old (we think that is a great age to start flourishing). Through your purchase, we help provide happiness to people all over the world.
We know from personal experience that we can train ourselves to be happier, healthier, freer and more fulfilled. That's why we've been working on The Happiness Initiative and The Happiness Compass for over 2 years and we are so excited that the time has come to share it with you on Kickstarter!

The Happiness Initiative is a platform created to teach people the skills to actively pursue happiness on a daily basis. Just like an exercise program, happiness requires knowledge and tools in order to maintain it.
The aim of the book is to change how we look at happiness and deliver a proactive approach to health and happiness in a way that is engaging, simple and enjoyable.
The four main pillars of The Happiness Initiative are Exploration, Know Yourself, Meaning and Presence. The pillars combine psychology and philosophy, self-development practices, reflections and recommendations to guide participants towards personal growth, change and self-improvement.

Our vision is to do more and be more! That's why, alongside The Happiness Initiative, we run unique, free, events like our Soft Sand Walking Meditations and social entrepreneur panels to build vibrant communities around positivity, purpose and fulfilment.
That's why we have launched powerful social and environmental initiatives that forge much needed change - like our creative education movement, The Kids of Bogota, our work creating free mindfulness and education programs in Pedreira Prado Lopes, one of Brazil's most dangerous areas, and our Ban The Bag and Head Back To The Tap environmental movements.
That's why we offer free guided meditations, free 7 day mindfulness challenges, fresh content, free speaking engagements and an interactive and all-inclusive community for happiness.

We chose our Kickstarter goal of $10,000 to meet the minimum purchase order required by our printer. We want The Happiness Initiative to get into as many hands as possible because we know it has the power to change lives! Help us raise $10,000 and in turn become part of the change the world needs.
Risks and challenges
One of our biggest challenges is trying to shift our ingrained societal focus from physical health, physical fitness and looking good to really feeling good. The amount of people that enter into physical health and diet programs is far greater than those who have entered into a mental wellness program.
Our objective of the book is to shift this trend and the idea that mental health programs are only done when you're sick or unwell. Just like you train at the gym for fun, you can train your happiness for fun too.
We want to empower people to integrate more happiness into their daily lives and learn skills in emotional intelligence, mindfulness, positive psychology and resilience in a simple and fun way. It is our challenge to inspire people to greater well-being and happiness and to forge a more proactive movement.
