The project started as a simple drawing by Jacob, then a sculpt by Phil, and finally a painted version by Jacob. Each iteration playing off of what the other had made. It elicits gasps of awe whenever seen, and now YOU can have one of your very own.
There are 3 sizes of the Heart of Cthulhu to choose from: A small pendant/keychain size, a medium keepsake box for jewelry, dice, or paperclips at work (The interior dimensions of the box are approx. 3" x 2.75" x 1" deep). And a large heart that can be used as a wall hanging, desk ornament or that blunt object the cops are looking for.
*How to choose the color/finish of your rewards: After the Kickstarter campaign ends, we will send out a kickstarter survey. The survey will ask for shipping information, have options to select the color of the piece(s) you have ordered, and have room any additional notes.
For Add-Ons: Click "Back this project" or "Manage your pledge". Select a Reward Level: Edit Pledge Amount to reflect the cost of your reward + additional items wanted (from Add-On Menu), then confirm the change.
Each heart was hand sculpted in a 2-part epoxy clay and then molded carefully in silicone. The resin is dyed or infused with bronze powder and poured into the mold. Then it is carefully placed in a pressurized vault where it eliminates air bubbles and forces the resin into the tiniest of detail spaces. After curing, the pieces are removed from the molds, cleaned, finessed, sealed, and/or buffed. They are then ready for their journey to you.
Each Heart of Cthulhu is an individual piece of art due to differences in artistic color mixing or applied finishes. Every one is unique and hand-made here in our studio. No machines, no computers, just artists doing what they love. Creating.
