Carat in the Media
Track your fitness efforts and get feedback from the Carat Pro coaches when you’re on the go. The Carat Pro in-ear heart rate monitor is based on Valencell’s PerformTek® Precision Biometrics to provide incredible accuracy, so you know if you’re working out at the right intensity level, so you can reach your fitness goals.
Unlike other fitness tracking earbuds, Carat Pro supports five different types of exercises because we understand that no two workouts are the same. When doing yoga, you won’t have as many steps as when you’re on a run, but that shouldn’t mean your workout doesn’t count.
Selection of the following available workouts can be found in the free Smart FIIL+ app.
While you’re working out, a simple press of a button will give you real-time information regarding the workout chosen within the app. The Carat Pro coach will give you information on the following statistics when you want them throughout your workout.
To start a workout session on your headphones, press the sport button twice. Once you’re done, press the sport button twice again to receive the full activity report.

Speed Dependent Sound (SDS) is an innovative technology created exclusively for Carat Pro. With SDS tech, you’ll have the ambition to work harder and push yourself to new limits.
Depending on your speed, SDS will produce corresponding beats and sound effects to keep you moving. This sound effect switches between bass and normal music level with a balanced treble and bass to move you through your workouts.
SDS pumps you up when you’re working out hard and calms you when it’s time to cool down.
For example, say you’re going on a run and turn on “Cold Water” by Major Lazer, Carat Pro will detect the pace you’re running at and turn up the bass for this song to pump you up and help you finish strong. When you slow down, the bass will slow down too to match your stride.
When you just don’t want to be bothered by the outside world, leave your phone at home.
With Carat Pro’s 4G of storage, you can store up to 1,000 of your favorite songs in MP3, WAV, FLAC or AAC formats within the earbuds themselves.
These songs can easily be found by using voice commands without ever needing your phone in hand. Simply say, “Carat, play Closer by The Chainsmokers” and the song will start to play. When you’re in Bluetooth mode, you can even search for songs through streaming apps like Spotify.
Not only are Carat Pro earbuds designed to withstand intense workouts, but they are also engineered to last you through the day. With a nine-hour battery life, these are the longest lasting earbuds on the market that combine intense audio and sport technology. *When in local mode.
Don’t risk losing your earbuds. The inside of each earbud has a magnet so you can easily clasp them together and keep them tangle free around your neck. In this mode you can easily and quickly access your headphones for instant use, easily store them and take calls. The design team placed increased emphasis on achieving a fashion-forward, jewellery-like aesthetic to appeal to fashion-goers.
Comfort and stability were two of the most important things when designing Carat. A soft silicone material and a patented RotateSecure earwing design ensure your earbuds stay gently in your ear. Carat Pro comes in a variety of ear-tip and earwing options for further personalized comfort and stability so that you always focus on your workout.

As with any hardware project, there are always schedule risks associated with manufacturing and supply chain logistics. We are working with a tier-one manufacturing partner that builds headphones for some of the most renowned brands. We have partnered with Designaffairs, a famous design company with 20 years of experience, in Munich Germany. We understand the unique challenges of headphones and are familiar with how to avoid and mitigate any issues that arise. The products we have successfully delivered in the past have MFI and hi-fi sound and have been awarded the IF Product Design Award & the Red Dot Design Awards.
