      Hi Emmy,
It's been a busy time for us - we have been building our pitch package, developing concept art, building lots of relationships, and are just about to start meeting with directors, actors, and investors to pitch the project. It's a long road, but we are making great progress. Stay tuned to our website and Facebook page for updates - we'll have a lot of exciting news coming in the next few months. If all goes well we should start filming in Fall of 2013 and you'll see the movie in theaters in 2014!!

      Thanks for your support,
The Fifth Sacred Thing Production Team

I just added $3.00 more dollars to my pledge and counting

    14. Patricia Brubaker on August 20, 2011

If your have already made a pledge, consider making a $1 pledge in the name of at least one of your good friends who might benefit in some way from making this great book into a blockbusting, paradigm shifting movie!

    15. Sue Heublein on August 18, 2011

I just purchased the book and how I am so excited to see this new book you have just posted about. Collaborative meetings and getting along, sometimes giving up a little self, for the greater good that is the goal of us all!! Yes. I want to buy this new book already and I want to suggest to the Ford Family Foundation in Roseburg, Oregon that they include it on their reading list for all rural Oregonians who go through their leadership training.

    16. Ethy Gross on August 18, 2011

Is there a way for one of us backers to leave a message post for the 11,000 - plus people who like the FB page? If we asked every one of them to make a $5 pledge, and 30% of them did so...we'd make another $20,000! I would so like to see that happen. I've asked my friends and family to give, and many of them have...I think that a lot of people's small change jars could reach up to $5....This is a time where a small effort really will make a BIG difference.

    21. Patricia Brubaker on August 12, 2011

Alright! We did phenomenal work and nailed the $60,000 Kickstarter goal. Yay, us!
Now we are up to 25 backers at the $1 Level and only $35,383 and 8 days away from our Dream Goal--$100,000.
It's time to empty out the small change jar and pledge $1 in the name of that friend/relative who loves this project!

    22. Ethy Gross on August 11, 2011

we have made a place for you at our table. hope you continue to move ahead with renewed momentum.

    23. Paradox Pollack on August 6, 2011

We have 2 weeks left to reach our real time goal of $100,000 to get this film packaged and proposed with full integrity to the book's story and ethic. To find our director and cast. Please continue to pass this on to your page and share the vision...
Thank you everyone who is participating,
We are innovating and creating new ways for you to be involved with your help, to find the ways to share your art and your many gifts.
      Blessed Be.

    26. Jennifer Tobias on August 3, 2011

I read the book for the 1st time 12 years ago! I reread it every few years because I love it that much! So much of it has planted seeds in my mind and my heart and I love how that grows and comes to fruition for me everyday!!!

I just pledged $10 and it feels GREAT! to be a part of this! Am spreading the word to keep the money energy flowing so that this amazing book gets the opportunity to have a movie created of it that does it justice!!! Just watching the short video with some of the concept art gave me goose bumps!!!!

Thank you for giving us all the opportunity to help!!!

I am so exhilirated by the idea that this movie is GOING TO HAPPEN. I'd like to see us make Kickstarter history by having the most number of backers. My spouse Karen L. March, M.D., my brother, Roger C. Schlobin, Ph.D. and my beloved children ( Eleanor Genevieve March McGee, and James Jesse March McGee...(graduated from 6th and 8th grade respectively)are all backers! I want to encourage everyone to "sign up" at least five more people. If you're a witch or a pagan, Lammas would be a great time to pledge. Bright Blessings to ALL!

So grateful to see everyone getting so involved in the process. Please continue to be a part of the team by reposting to your facebook page and getting people to donate even 5 dollars to bring us to the level of involvement for the director and the studios to see the amount of support for this project... Thank you everyone,. So incredible to see our resources grow. Our true goal so everyone knows is to reach $ 100,000 and make kickstarter history with how many donators we have. GO TEAM!!!

    36. Karen March on July 28, 2011

I'm absolutely delighted to see us achieve the $50,000 mark...How could we get the 11,000 "likes" to pledge $1? I "tweeted" for the first time to spread the word. I've had a twitter account and I see that it's very easy to do! TWEET! TWEET!

In addition to the $, one goal is to show potential actors, directors, etc how many people support the making of this movie. $1 pledges have been encouraged AND it's surprisingly difficult to pledge only $1. As of 7/27, I make number 14.
It was my mom's idea to make the donation in my name since she had already donated and I don't have money. She says feel free to use this idea too!

Read the last page of the Fifth Sacred Thing ;) wonderful experience. I'll start reading it again periodically. Can't wait to see the characters come to life on the big screen. The story has a tale to tell, but I won't give away the story. You just have to read it!!! It was GREAT. Thanks Starhawk, there's a lot to work with for a sequel. Let's do one thing at a time. Thank you.

I am so happy I am able to be a backer of this wonderful project. I can still see the day when I closed the last page, on the Fifth Sacred Thing. I was in a bookstore, that sadly is no longer there. I was very emotional as I read the last lines in the book and was very sad that it over. It was the first time I had read in print, feelings and visions that had been within me for years. I was sad that the Fifth Sacred World had closed, locked between the covers of my book. But now it lives again, through this wonderful project and upcoming film. Cheers to Starhawk and everyone involved for involving us from the beginning. I pray this Kickstarter project is funded and we will be enjoying "The Fifth Sacred Thing" on the big screen in the near future!

    43. Karen March on July 23, 2011

My beloved spouse, Karen March and I were only able to afford $100. But we had a friend with no credit card who wanted to make a donation. Her name is Sallie Peterson from Garberville, CA.
She doesn't have internet access but wanted to help. So Karen and I made the donations through our credit card. She's given a total of $2,000. We're hoping to raise enough from our friends and family so that Sallie can reach $2,500 and have lunch with Starhawk in San Francisco. Sallie is only five hours away from the Bay Area. She has always dreamed of Starhawk making a movie of the Fifth Sacred Thing, and wants with all her heart to be a part of it...
      Blessed be

29 days and $15,017 to go.
It would be awe-inspiring if the rest of the money came in $1 donations.
That would add 15,017 people showing their support for this fantastic project. Crazy magic!
