Currently, our only offering is a number 8 skillet. It has a diameter of 10.5 inches across the top (9” across the bottom) and is a full 2” deep.

We do not yet have any timeline for developing a lid, but we know that there's demand and are keeping notes on everyone's input!

Seasoning is a process of cooking oils and/or fats onto the surface of cast iron cookware such that it forms a protective and non-stick layer. It can be intentionally applied or it can develop naturally by cooking with oils and/or fats. Seasoning can also refer directly to the built up layers of cooked-on oils and/or fats.

Yes! Each skillet will come with nice seasoning base, so your pan will be ready to rock and roll right out of the box.

Our pans are seasoned with three coats of organic, non-gmo, expeller pressed canola oil (100% vegetable oil, no animal products).

Not at this time. If demand is there, we plan to test eco-friendly packaging solutions that prevent the raw iron from rusting during shipping. The current industry standard is to place raw iron parts in a plastic bag, which isn’t our cup of tea.

Absolutely! Part of why we love cast iron cookware is because it is so versatile. You can bake / roast in your skillet to your heart’s (and stomach’s) content.

Yes! We are offering international shipping, which you can select when you pledge to our Kickstarter. We’ll continue to ship internationally after our Kickstarter, and hope to offer better rates as demand increases abroad.

Yes! You can use your Field Skillet on any cooktop. However, if you have an induction or glass-top electric range, you should be mindful to handle the pan with care–no dropping, slamming, or heavy scraping.
