Feel Good. Food & Yoga is a series of courses and experiences that fuse yoga with food. I'm not talking about replacing yoga props with veggies- Feel Good. Food & Yoga is about shared meals and unique experiences in beautiful settings. The perfect combination of good fun, good health and good people. And everything takes place in amazing locations unique to Cape Ann, MA.

Beacon Street Farm Series
Visit the Beacon Street Farm, an urban farm oasis in downtown Gloucester, for a fun, interactive and delicious experience. Each class is one and a half hours long, and features a hands on workshop, samples to taste throughout the class and food to bring home and share. All the menu items featured and prepared are sourced directly from the Beacon Street Farm and other amazing local and sustainable growers. These farmers are my friends and colleagues and your participation supports their work, as well as my project. You’ll love the energy of this tiny farm that has become the heart of a neighborhood, and will leave each class feeling inspired to grow, cook, and eat well. Take just one class, or join me for all three.
The Art of Canning
Learn how to preserve your favorite seasonal fruits & veggies
On the menu: summer berry jam, spicy pepper mix, sweet tomato sauce
Old Time Pickling
Learn the basics of traditional lacto-fermentation, as well as vinegar brine pickling
On the menu: Russian dill pickles, sweet & spicy peppers, kimchi & pickled ginger

Garden fresh salsas and sauces

Beach Yoga & Sunset Picnic
Travel by boat to a blissfully remote area of beach for a one hour yoga class with your friends, followed by a locally sourced picnic that will perfectly accent your post-yoga glow. Our captain, Bartholomew, is a U.S. Coast Guard certified 50 ton boat captain, an experienced surfer, fisherman and marine biologist. Together, we’ll be showing you some hard to find and incredibly beautiful spots on Cape Ann that are perfect locations for yoga and dinner. For full sunset enjoyment, BYOB or wine.
Couples Beach Yoga & Sunset Picnic
Bring a date or a friend and join me for one hour group yoga on a slice of heavenly secluded beach. We will travel by boat and follow our practice with a locally sourced picnic that will perfectly accent your post-yoga glow. Our captain, Bartholomew, is a U.S. Coast Guard 50 ton certified boat captain, an experienced surfer, fisherman and marine biologist. Together, we’ll be showing you some hard to find and incredibly beautiful spots on Cape Ann that are perfect locations for yoga and dinner. For full sunset enjoyment, BYOB or wine.

The colder months are the perfect time for hosting celebrations around warm hearths. They’re also a time of year when we benefit so much from physical activity and moments of peace. I’m so pleased to offer you the perfect combination of all this right in the comfort of your own home-a private yoga and dinner experience for you and your friends. Created with your home and group in mind, I think you will find this experience to be the perfect way to unwind and celebrate. One hour class is followed by a locally sourced meal that will perfectly compliment the season and the evening.
Community Yoga Series
Cape Ann is an incredibly beautiful location, and I’m so excited to share some very special spots with you. Join me on the quiet beaches and beautiful nooks and crannies of Cape Ann for group yoga classes that are designed to capture both the peace and energy of the outdoors. Come with friends or on your own. I promise you’ll leave class with a feeling unlike anything you can find indoors.
Guided Tour & Outdoor Group Yoga
Choose between one hour classes on the beach, in wooded areas, or on open grassy shorelines, with a short hike or without. All locations are selected with a focus on privacy, quiet and natural beauty. All levels are welcome.
Indoor Community Yoga
When I was first starting my yoga practice I was definitely intimidated by the idea of a class full of pros. This class series is the answer for anyone looking to overcome those first time yoga jitters. Join me for group yoga classes that are designed to be accessible and welcoming to all levels, ages and abilities. This class is the perfect answer for an affordable yoga option for those looking to practice as much as possible on a budget. For those new to yoga, the Indoor Community Yoga Series offers an ego free atmosphere that is sure to make you feel comfortable and ready to start your practice!
Classes are held in a variety of locations on the North Shore, primarily in communities accessible from the Rockport/Newburyport Commuter Rail Line.
This project was born from lots of thinking about how I could combine what I'm passionate about in a way that offers something meaningful and positive. Feel Good. Food & Yoga is my way of connecting people to this region, to their bodies, to what they eat and to who grows their food.
I hope that by sharing a new way to experience Cape Ann, what our locally grown food tastes like, and by providing a unique way to spend time with loved ones and meet new friends, that people with feel more connection to what is so important-our land, our waters, our bodies and each other. This project is so vibrant because the consequences are so positive for everyone involved.
Since I began putting together this campaign, Feel Good. Food & Yoga has involved a lot of people in my life. Friends have offered up their kitchens, their farms, turned up for picnics and yoga sessions, and shared their photography and film skills to help make sure that Feel Good. Food & Yoga becomes a reality. Its been really amazing to see people step outside their comfort zone and try new foods, meet new friends, or even try yoga for their first time. Bringing all these different people together has been fun and inspiring, and I've been so thankful for everyone's support and excitement about the project.
I need your support to make Feel Good. Food & Yoga a reality. Without your pledges, this project won't happen. My rewards are the very essence of Feel Good. Food & Yoga and I hope that you will be excited to take part in these unique courses and experiences. I am very excited to share them with you!
What makes this project so special is exactly how place based and community based it is. This is also a challenge for my campaign. I hope to reach beyond Massachusetts and New England backers. I hope that you'll pledge no matter where you are (there are some tasty rewards designed for folks further away), and that even folks who are located elsewhere will want to support this regionally inspired campaign.
What's the Money For?
In order to offer the experience that I want, I need to be a certified yoga teacher. I want to do this in the right way-at a good school where I will get the best training possible. I need this certification, kitchen equipment, a food handler's certification and some basic yoga equipment, as well as the ability to pay our farmer's a fair price for the food I will be serving. There are also some smaller costs for mason jars, plates and utensils, boat fuel and insurance.
