"Candie's Harem" is an independent film produced by Faux Pas Films, a company based in Chicago, IL.

The story:

Candie is a woman who knows what she wants in the romance department. She just doesn't want it from one person! Everything is going great until her lovers start dying off around her and she is forced to try and discover who the killer is before it's too late! Candie confides in her friend Paul who is having problems himself being in an abusive relationship with his boyfriend, Kevin. Together they will experience terror as they watch their worlds unravel.

This story is a throwback to whodunit films like Prom Night and Scream but with an added sex appeal to spice it up! We are using all old school practical effects for the film and we have some very unique kill scenes.  

Candie's Harem contains adult themes such as nudity, strong language, strong sexual content, and scenes of horror/gore.

The film stars some of Chicago's finest indie actors/actresses:

 with special Effects by Ana Von

All funds will go to the Production and Post-Production costs of the film. The more we get, the better the film will be. Supplies, props, certain attire, catering, extra crew members, special effects, and all the little hiccups that occur during production. Post will include finishing the DVD and the packaging so we can distribute it when everything is complete.

Risks and challenges

The biggest challenge with this film is the vast enormity of it. It is our biggest endeavor yet with a huge ensemble cast, much special effects, and such a risque theme! However, with over 7 years experience and being active consistently in the indie film scene with 6 features and tons with shorts, I am confident that we can endure any of the hardships that may present themselves. This is our 4th kickstarter project and with each previous one, we were successful and gave our backers all their rewards. We intend to do the same this time.
