About this project
When anyone talks about weight loss, it always feels like the blame game. The way we want to approach the subject of obesity and weight loss is by asking “Why?”
We have been researching the science behind losing weight and what we have found is nothing short of extraordinary. We've been using what we’ve learned, and are achieving results that we never thought were possible. Spoiler alert: It’s not about any product, workout, or diet. It’s about the individual and how their body is processing the foods he or she is eating.
These are just a few names and magazines we have already interviewed for the film: Ashley Borden, Chef Robert Irvine, Robb Wolf, Chippendales, Fit Pregnancy, Isabel De Los Rios, Dallas and Melissa Hartwig, Jane Lynch, Drew Manning, Men's Fitness, Adam Bornstein, Dr. Kelly Brownell, Patrick Murphy, Muscle and Fitness, Muscle and Fitness Hers, Natural Health, Nitro, Gunnar Peterson, Bill Phillips, Dr. Al Sears, SHAPE, Nell Stephenson, Tender Greens and more!
What You Get
Our perks for contributing to the cause range from the affordable to the extreme. If you’re interested in lending a helping hand, $10 can get you a thank you and the warm feeling that goes along with knowing you are helping the world lose weight, or $10,000 can make you a Co-Executive Producer on the film that will change the face of dieting FOREVER!
Where Your Money Goes
Animation & Post-Production
We have completed the filming, but footage alone doesn’t equal a finished documentary. This film reveals many secrets about health, nutrition, and weight loss. We want to make sure these are shown in a fun and easy to understand way with the help of skilled editing and intriguing animation. It turns out that skilled editing and intriguing animation don’t come cheap.
Ask anyone how to lose weight and they will likely tell you: eat healthy, exercise more; but the answers, and results, stop there.
We’re providing the science behind the answers to truly inform the public and empower them to take control of their health, their weight and their lives.
Documentaries like Super Size Me, King Corn, Fast Food Nation and Forks Over Knives all touch on the subject of our diet and where food is coming from, but none of them delve into the science behind how that food truly affects our bodies. This is bigger than the food pyramid we learned in elementary school.

Risks and challenges
The interviews are shot, the editing is under way, the only remaining challenge is to make it look pretty and get it out the door.
We have had so many big names ask to participate in this film, we've already started shooting the sequel, Why Am I So Sick? Wait 'til you see the names that will be participating in that project!
We feel like we're past the biggest challenges now and your contribution will make this film be the best it can be.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
